Completely unplayable. I've tried multiple youtube tutorials ranging from clearing cache to reinstalling the game. I cannot find any steps to recreate this issue. It happened just after the previous update. I have tried using both x32 and x64 with the only difference being that x32 is slower.

It may help if you delete

RailWorks\Content\PlayerProfiles.bin (to reset your game to factory settings)

When you ininstalled/reinstalled did you get into Windows Explorer and make sure to remove all trace of TS files and folders before reinstalling? If you just did it through Steam it can leave behind a few odds and ends which will remain as part of the reinstall and they can be the source of problems.

    This may be useful:

Same issue here. No problems with selected routes when the scenarios are low spec (eg: medway valley).

However, issues with both DTG Chatham to Dover/Ramsgate (on high traffic scenario) and also JT Midland Mainline, both simply crash on loading screen.

No error messages, the whole computer simply freezes and requires re-boot.

    Applies in x64 and x64 DX12.

Should have thought to ask this but for clarification- do you mean the intial loading screen (when you start TS) or scenario loading screen (after you have chosen a scenario and click drive)? It makes a difference.

No no, when loading into game, not the startup screen

Are you running Windowed, Full Screen or Borderless?

    Just to reply to all:
    1. This occurs when loading into a scenario
    2. I'm playing windowless
    3. It makes the whole PC freeze up - I can load task manager to close the game, but when I do, the task manager falls behind the game screen so I can't do anything with it. If I click any other application tab it just does nothing - so I have to reboot.
    4. Specs: Intel core I7-7700HQ, NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX1070, Windows 10 1168GB hard drive and 16GB RAM.

Going to try deleting playerprofiles.bin and see what happens.

Okay, deleted playerprofile.bin and I now get dodgy lines appearing all over my screen. See image attached.

Edit: Gameplay on routes that will load is unaffected.

Looks like a GFX driver issue.

Just updated my graphics driver and still have the squiggly lines. They sometimes affect gameplay too.

Also have the crashing on loading for more high spec scenarios.

I've swapped to the beta version and it's still a disaster.

Are you running the beta or reshade?

Unsure on the difference between fullscreen and borderless, but one of those two.

I'm unsure what a reshade is. I had the same issues (less the screen lines - see picture) with both the standard and public beta, re: freezing when loading high AI scenarios, and since deleting playerprofiles.bin, also now have the lines flashing on the screen.
