This is something very irritating I noticed while driving on the newly released Köln - Aachen route, the cab textures of the ICE 3M and the Talent 2 become very low-res over time. When starting everything is fine but at speeds of around 130+ they start bluring out slowly as seen in the screenshots: As of now, I have not heard of anyone else having this problem, I also haven't noticed it on any other route yet.
Hi Aran, Thanks for the screenshots, I will pass this on to the team, would you be able to let us know if this happens on any other routes in the future?
Thanks, much appreciated. And yes I will of course inform you if I find this issue on any other routes in the future. I also forgot to mention that the problem goes away if I pause the game, but then slowly reappears as described above.
Had the same problem, fixed by turning off texture streaming in Engine.ini Seems that cab textures are included in the process for some reason.
I can confirm, same problem and disabling texture streaming manually in engine.ini as Glazier statet did the trick
I have now tried it and it does seem to work, but it unsurprisingly also ruined my previously mediocre FPS so I can't leave it like that. Thanks for your help but I'm hoping there's an official fix soon.
After some more playing I have discovered this bug on HRR and ECW aswell, so I assume it is present on all routes. I have included screenshots of the issue of both the BR 425 from HRR and the Class 377 from ECW and would be more than happy to provide more if that would help. I also don't want to be that person that is pushy about bug fixes, but I just wanted to ask if you have anything to report from the team and if they are working on it considering it's not on the roadmap.
Have you tried changing your texture settings to ultra? Because that seemed to improve, not fix, the issue for me.
Yes, maxed out everything ingame + the following in config - Code: r.MaxAnisotropy=16 r.ForceAllCoresForShaderCompiling=1 r.ViewDistanceScale=8 r.Shadow.DistanceScale=5 r.Color.Mid=0.4 r.SkeletalMeshLODBias=0 r.MipMapLodBias=-1 r.DefaultFeature.Bloom=0 r.BloomQuality=0 r.MaterialQualityLevel=0 r.SceneColorFringe.Max=0 r.SceneColorFringeQuality=0 r.Tonemapper.Quality=5 r.DefaultFeature.MotionBlur=0 r.MotionBlurQuality=0 r.TextureStreaming=0 r.AmbientOcclusionLevels=4 r.StaticMeshLODDistanceScale=0.75 foliage.LODDistanceScale=6 Maybe r.MaterialQualityLevel=0 is to blame, will check with set to 1. Update: Nope, did not help.
OK, I turned -DX12 off and as far as 2 runs textures seem to be OK. But I lost ~15 FPS by doing this, so not sure if this a good solution.
