I've decided to put all what I've done so far on hold and go back to my original plan of creating the Skegness to Grantham route. It takes an average of 1h 26m to travel from Skegness to Grantham by train, over a distance of around 44 miles (70 km), So yeah its a long route and one that will more than likely take a few month to build, but I have my motivation and determination to do this, along with a great team of forum members to help along the way should I get stuck. So far I've got my route KML generating (834 cells) and will keep posting updates along the way. EDIT: restarted SKG -GRA from scratch. This time using kml for placemarks and route guide, STRM for the terrain tile creation and Lidar. All working great so far. Got 2 days off work now so will be making my way to Wainfleet tomorrow.
Entrance into Skegness station, Finally. The hardest part was getting the track from point A Into a junction, cross over 2 tracks and into another junction to align with point B. ( I cheated a bit by levelling off the terrain where I was going to be placing the track). Something that I didn't really want to be doing, but any changes to terrain I'll be able to hide with textures
