I've already heard this suggested elsewhere before, but as far as I can see, there are no specific suggestion threads for it - so here we are. The recently released WMR / XC 170 Pack would improve the timetable on the Nottingham - Derby - Leicester route. Why? It would provide an extra 2 services per hour in both directions between Nottingham and Derby. It would add empty stock shunting movements between platforms at Nottingham in between services, as some arrive into Nottingham from Birmingham, shunt out, and shunt back in to a different platform ready for the return journey. It would add a small number of empty stock runs from Leicester L.I.P to Nottingham in the morning, and a small number of empty stock runs returning to Leicester L.I.P in the evening. It would also add the empty stock movements which again from into and out of Nottingham to and from Birmingham New Street or Tyseley depot - These services do not run via Derby, they take the Castle Donnington line - But these could be added as AI only, or drivable as far as Long Eaton. It would add the AI Cross Country services which run between Birmingham, Leicester, Cambridge and Stansted Airport in between Syston Junction and Leicester. Overall it would really add to the experience of the route, along with the possibility of a wide variety of formations, including 2 coach, 3 coach, 4 coach (2+2) and even sometimes rarely a 5 coach (3+2) which has appeared on those services from time to time.
