So let me start by saying, I LOVE this feature, as someone who is always indecisive and can literally spend more time picking a route or service than actually playing the game. Also I greatly appreciate the addition of the possibility to exclude tutorials. Still though I don't think it goes far enough. (As much as I already do like it) I think a larger range of options is definitely needed. First, I would put make an option on whether to limit the range to scenario's, timetables, or both. Secondly, I would also want to be able to filter random routes and services in a similar way to how we filter right now in the trains and routes selection menu. So for example, Germany/USA/UK/Other, or Steam/Diesel/Electric, Passenger/Goods/Light/Shunting, etc. This would help because often times, while I can't decide and would want it to be randomly chosen for me, I still kind of have an idea in the back of my head of what I'm in the mood for. Another small enhancement to something like that would be the ability to select randomly from the currently available services from where you are currently in the menu. This style of doing it could also very well be the way you make that selection. Basically, to give a few examples on how I'm imagining this, suppose you're just in the "choose a route" or "train" menu, randomizing would pull all services from every route/train as they're all available from where you are then. However, if I now chose the route Boston Sprinter, which has 3 selectable trains (ACS-64, F40PH, CTC-3 cabcar), it would pull from there, meaning only those 3 trains, and only on Boston Sprinter. Similarly, if you've got the Class 101 BLG selected in the "Pick a Train" menu, available on Northern Trans Pennine, and Somerset Isle, it would only pull from the Class 101, and its services on those routes. Lastly, it should take into considering your currently applied filters for this, which would be how that selection screen would work. If you have, for example, filtered on German routes, and nothing else, it will pull the available random services from German routes only, as that's your current filter. Anyways, I hope this gives a clear picture of how I personally would hope the Quick Play options would grow in the future! I would love to hear from you what your opinions on this would be.
