A few small route extensions that would add a lot of value with a small(ish) amount of track. Slightly more than the usual for preservation crew (although I believe it has been done) but could make a real difference. Munich - Augsburg: I'd like to see the low level platforms at Munich Hbf modelled - it would make the S-Bahn service seem more complete, and the transitioon from the underground stations to the surface - both in the train and as a passenger. Koeln - Aachen The Hohenzollern bridge just beyond Koeln Hbf i partly there, but it'd be nice to cross it through to Deutz, where all Regio and S-Bahn trains stop. It would really enhance train-watching at Koeln. Also, if you continue two stops beyond Aachen, you get to Aachen-West yard, a major yard with shunting potential. Southeastern Highspeed It would add so much potential if the Eurostar platforms, and the low level platforms at Ebbsfleet could be added (also we need more start points for scenario planner). Also, Northfleet station is in between where the highspeed line leaves the classic line and where it goes underneath, so would make for a logical addition. London to Brighton The tracks and stations at Reedham and Coulsdon Town are partly modelled, so adding them as playable would add a couple more stations and several extended services. There is also the argunment for places like Hove and Norwood Junction. Rapid Transit Clearly modelling Leipzig Hbf would be an enormous task, but it would breathe huge life into a route which feels like it has a lot of unfulfilled potential. It would allow for many more Regional and long distance services.
I really like the idea of an freight extension for Köln. The yard in Aachen is really missing - and the freight yard in Köln too. But the latter would be a huge task because the rout would go around the south of Köln.
Agree in principal with the low level platforms being added at Ebbsfleet given that none of the Eurostar services stop there. It would mean the Ashford (and onwards) services would need to be added to the timetable with the additional stop Not sure on how much use Northfleet would be as a station in game. The place itself would bring little to the game and only just over half of the services through the station actually stop there... Highspeed services turn off at Springhead junction just to the East (and out of sight) of Northfleet itself
Building the whole underground level of München Hbf would be a MASSIVE amount of work, and to no purpose except extending S-Bahn services one stop past Hackerbrücke
What about all of the branches off of GWE? Various shuttles as well as a few freight services on oil, stone and waste trains.
Spirit Of Steam - Add the Liverpool Riverside branch. Disused Stations: Liverpool Riverside Station (disused-stations.org.uk) Disused Stations: Waterloo Goods Station (disused-stations.org.uk)
Adding Hove onto the route would provide some 313 passenger services along the route, as well as the GWR one out of Brighton (sadly no longer with us) as well as the Victoria-Littlehampton's, although Norwood Jn is a bit difficult as the services to Victoria head via Streatham Hill (also on the map along with the depot there albeit not playable)
How about HRR to Oberhausen Hbf from Mulheim an der Ruhr Styrum that way S3 services can be run from Essen Steele Ost to Oberhausen Hbf. Second part is HRR extension to Dortmund Hbf from Bochum Hbf 11 km. That includes the massive triangular junction Bochum Langendreer and the Dortmund University Junction.
