    Hello Editors,
I am working on two or three seperate mods to change a few decals on the ICE 3M from KAH aswell as from the ICE 3 from MAG. The ICE 1 from KWG has the Bordrestaurant text with the correct font, however none of the ICE 3s in the game has it, so I wanted to change that, but the first thing I ran into was that I couldn't export the texture file which has this decal as a .tga file, only as a .copy or .t3d file. Do I need to change something in my editor settings or is there some kind of workaround for this?
    Help would be very appreciated.

Edit: solved it, using umodel I can export textures as .png files and then reimport them into the editor after editing. but thanks for reading

Be aware that PNG will not preserve alpha channel information if present in the original.

    Edit: Rubbish

ow. does that mean I just wasted my time cutting and moving and cropping and coloring textures for nothing?

Is that a quirk of UE? Because I'm pretty sure I've seen hundreds of png files with an alpha channel

No - that was actually a quirk of mine. Of course PNG has alpha channel (I'm used to working with DDS files), sorry for causing confusion.
