I recently bought the Airport Commuter pack and enjoy it so have been playing more recently than I have been in the past few months, but am noticing between sessions, none of my progress is saving. This applies to all installed routes, not just the Airport Commuter pack

I'm also having issues with being unable to save the game in progress (and have had this for as long as I can remember.) - perhaps related?

I noticed just now my Save Game files haven't been updated since 22nd June, so a lot of progress has been lost that has gone unnoticed.

I thought it was to do with mods etc, but even without, nothing changes. Wonder if anyone can help?

    - Quick edit to add, my Dovetail Live connection is fine, I've logged out and back in to see if it would reset it into working etc, but no luck.

Is your \\Users\%username%\Documents\My Games\TrainSimWorld5\Saved\SaveGames folder set to read only?

It was, but I unchecked it, but it just defaults itself back to being checked again. Though researching this, seems to not actually mean the files within are read-only, so should still be fine.

Even when unchecking, applying, clicking okay and running a quick timetable scenario, it still doesn't save when I reopen the game, and nor can I save in progress.

So, if you try to pause and save, it will not give you a save game?
Try creating a new character just to test; you can always delete it. Record, copy, gather all the info you can, and file a support ticket.
While the save game has been a bit bugged for some time now, it really is a hit or miss on any route; it can cause unwanted issues to none at all.

That's right - it just says there was an error saving the game.

The main issue I had has been fixed now, though, which I'm really pleased about. I had to do some digging but I had to uncheck some weird Windows Defender setting about controller folder access or something, but seems to have done the trick!

Weird though, because I never had this issue before, and have never been near that setting in my life!

It may have been a Windows update that reset or changed things, also, check your user account control; if the settings are too high, it can also cause unwanted issues, and your AV, anything other than Bitdefender, has a free version", E-Set, SoHo, AVG, Avast and Norton are the worst to have installed.
