Hi all, as I really like the Caltrain Addon for TSW some questions about the real route and trains came in my mind. Is there really no train protection system on this route in real life? Something like the PZB in Germany or the AWS in Great Britain? Just the alerter in the locomotive? What happens if a train operator in the cab car will faint for example? Also the next question is what are the in cab monitors used for in real life? Is it something like a timetable (like an EBuLa in German trains) or is it a camera system for monitoring the doors on stations? Best regards Julian
That’s correct. PTC is not installed in real life yet. Those monitors are where the PTC information will go when it’s activated.
