Manx Electric & Snaefell Mountain Railways
    Introduction
    Manx Electric Railway

The Manx Electric Railway is a tramway operating between Douglas Derby Castle Terminus and Ramsey on the Isle of Man, a distance of 17 miles. Opened in 1893, the tramway holds the world record for the world's oldest trams operating on their original route. The Electric Railway passes great coastal scenery on the journey from Douglas to Laxey. As well as being one of only a few electric heritage railways in the British Isles, the Manx Electric railway also operates on a narrow 3 ft (914 mm) gauge.
    Snaefell Mountain Railway
Opened in 1895, the Snaefell Mountain Railway runs from Laxey, where there is an interchange with the Manx Electric Railway, to the summit of Snaefell, the tallest peak on the Isle of Man. The Snaefell Mountain Railway uses a different gauge to the Manx Electric Railway, using a 3 ft 6 in (1067 mm) gauge.

    MER 'Tunnel Cars' 5, 6 & 7

The 'Tunnel Cars' were the second batch of trams built for the Manx Electric Railway, built in 1894. Cars 5, 6 & 7 remain in operation whilst car 9 was converted into an illuminated car in 1993. Like the Original trams, these trams still see regular operation along the route.
    MER 'Winter Saloons' 19-22

The 'Winter Saloons' were built in 1899, and all 4 remain in service today. They are the main type of tram used on the MER, so would be the most important MER tram to be added to the route if it was made.
    Snaefell Trams (1-2 & 4-6)

The Snaefell Mountain Railway still uses the original tram cars from 1895, all of which are in service except No. 3.
    Conclusion
The addition of these two routes would provide a completely new experience within Train Sim World. It would be the first tramway route and would provide excellent coastal and mountain scenery. At only 22.5 miles, the route is not too long for Dovetail Games to create, however, it would require new features to be modeled such as request stops for the MER and a Fell Incline System for the Snaefell Mountain Railway.
