That makes sense, we say it down here as well but I had no idea it was spelt like that.
You mean Hauptstrecke Munchen Salzburg via Rosenheim, Freight Munchen Laim/Ost to Salzburg Gnigl Vbf where it has a Hump yard worked by Obb 1163 can be substituted by DB BR363 204 G6. Trade off lack of Tractive power over the Hump which the OBB 1163 has
I did the first part manually and that got me a jumbled anagram of “pop open the brolly” not that I knew it was that at the time but was trying things and couldn’t get any further because I’m not that hot on these types of puzzles. Is this all to tell us that there are umbrellas in the game? Sigh.
Well, with only 12 hours remain on the stream, and not much for a while now, since it has been a dead zone for a few hours. So until morning, gonna call it a night (unless there's something I do not know since this post).
Hopefully this Tuesday will be all worth it with all the teases so far.
They may be hinting that there's dynamic weather.
Or a collectible type for one of the new routes.
Please no, We are here to drive trains, not run around on the right of way looking for cr...stuff......
I'll be disappointed if timetable mode DW is not implemented in this upgrade. Its been hinted at for some time and used sporadically within scenarios
Can I just say. Whatever the reaction is to these new routes, the past few days have been brilliant and it's been extremely fun to see these clues, trying to work out what's what.
Well done DTG!!
Its gonna be fun if in the end is just to say goobye to Tsw.
Whatever it is, it's almost certainly going to be a disappointment to many after this much hype, that is pretty solidly guaranteed.
At least you dont need to shovel, the bigboy has a "conveyorbelt system" for bringing the coal into the firebox.
Seems like they are concentrating on what I term fluff. Until the game runs smoothly without freezes/stuttering/derailments then I'm afraid I cant get excited about any new features.
The fact that routes are now worst performance then they were 6 months ago should be the highest priority for DTG. But it seems like they've just assigned TSW2 to the abandonware bin and that certainly doesn't make me want to invest heavily in their revamp.
Give it a chance and see what's announced before binning it off, eh?
Alright, I have returned from the dead. What did I mi-
Uh, could've sworn it was sunny earlier.
If you jump to when the timer 04:00:00 you will get jumpscared
Yep, rewatched, got jumped. And now
Man I have missed a lot
At least I can say this morning is:
(Sorry, I just had to)
At least there're no buts involved, apparently
You don't have to do it.
Adding more features means more strain on either the GPU or CPU (or both), unless theyve addressed the core issues causing the freezes and stutters it's only going to get worst not better.
As an FYI I am running a slightly higher than recommended spec PC.
My god, that is huge (roughly 115 miles)
I may be swimming against the tide, but it would be a bonus for me if they toned down this silly business with kiddie toys and other childish " collectables ". I mean who are these immature people at DTG who think this infantile stuff is cute or appropriate for a train sim?
And, before you say it, I know we don't have to join in. But to me it's a major distraction to see toys littering platforms and demeans the game experience.
Cut it out DTG. There are plenty of arcade, cartoon games for those puerile gamers who enjoy such trifles.
( My attack shields are up )
Please don’t be a HighSpeed only line.
Strong words for some unplaced travel posters that encourage people to explore the route.
Not so strong for Green Dinosaur toys.
Yep, but wandering away from the cab leads to rage posting about the missing Tesco 4 miles from the station.
It's ok, but a bit pointless.
God forbid toys be visible at a tourist destination...
i'm all for TSW being a serious and realistic train driving simulator, that's all i'm interested in, the operation of the trains and driving them to schedule, so the view out the cab window is all that interests me and how the controls are operated and the train reacts etc.
but DTG have figured out that if they add in these seemingly silly things that allow some people to play a sort of pokemon game instead of driving the trains, and let you do things like sit in a carriage as a passenger watching computer generated scenery go past, or wander around the stations putting up posters, or along the track replacing signal phone handsets, whilst earning useless points and pictures of medals and trophies.....
Well it all works towards the end goal,
Which is to make money or course.
Not in the terrain pictured, it ain't
I would assume Cologne - Frankfurt high speed line, which is 180km long. The extra 6km could be the extension into Frankfurt main station or the S-Bahn to the Cologne Airport.
Not many Alps around Frankfurt
Also, not many trains driving on the left line in Germany, either
I get your point but my nephew loves wandering around. It’s too dificult for him to drive the trains. It’s the first thing he asks me when visiting ‘can i play the train game?’ Is it realy that annoying while it can give others such a good time?
I don't expect the collectables to disappear entirely. Posters and newspaper stands don't bother me unduly. That's why I asked only that they " tone it down ", especially with the kiddie stuff.
I have 1 query.
Right now on the live stream it's raining and yet the sky is blue without any clouds. Is this release going to suffer the same fate as the current incarnations of weather on TSW?
So 90 miles UK route, 85 miles US route and a 186 km european route? I think it's nice that they used kilometres for the third one, making it clear that the other two uses miles, so most likely US and UK.
Now, any guesses what country is in the picture of the 186 km image?
Edit: Apparently it's Allgäu region, Germany. The same picture is used on this site:
Well, there is still a German route on the roadmap, is it not?! I think they will follow the usual route…
And the Allgäubahn runs ETR 610s apparently, which sound awfully similar to the EMU sound we heard in the stream!
1 hour remaining folks, 1 hour remaining. That is all.
This is my stance too. I don't do the collectathons, but lots of people do.
Also, getting a younger generation into train simming can only be good for the future of the hobby.
Possible is everything, at this stage personally I think the 610 is too long for the trains we hear in the stream…
I don't spend long on the collectibles but part of me thinks, "DTG need to spend time making the route look nice partly due to the walkability of the route, collectibles give an excuse to have a look at it."
Now that's my kind of season right there
(Is it just me or did the camera just got lower than before)
Saw a couple of lightning bolts, too. Not sure, but this weather looks bit like TrueSky, it's definitely not the skybox TSW2 has right now.
Specifically, it's the Schwangau (Swan Valley), on the Austrian border around Füssen. The castle in the center-left is Hohenschwangau; at far left (cropped out of the DTG version) is the famous Neuschwanstein
It has begun:
If you are familiar with that train it was the DB BR401 ICE-1 Most people in the United States will remember that one because it was operated on the North East corridor Philadelphia New York in the 90s
Separate names with a comma.
