At present Railway line 1 is a multi track, electrified railway line running across the Masovian, Łodź and Silesian Voivodeship. Lenght of line is about 318,7 km with 3 main sections: Warszawa-Skierniewice: 70km with operating speed of 160kmph Warszawa-Łódź (via Skierniewice): 136km with operating speed of 160kmph Łódź- Katowice- section is now under heavy reconstruction and modernisation. There are many possibilities! First two sections of Railway line 1 are operated by many companies: PKP INTERCITY- National intercity operator ŁODZKA KOLEJ AGLOMERACYJNA- Regional trains operator POLREGIO- Regional and commuter train services KOLEJE MAZOWIECKIE- Main commuter trains operator PKP CARGO- National freight services operator As example: R1/RE1 Warszawa Wschodnia- Skierniewice commuter service operated by Koleje Mazowieckie [KM]. One of the most recent and popular commuter line in Poland. Warszawa Wschodnia- Łódź Fabryczna operated by Łódzka Kolej Aglomeracyjna [ŁKA], POLREGIO [PR] and PKP INTERCITY [PKP IC] . Connecting capital city of Warsaw with one of greatest railway station in Europe- Łódź Fabryczna in city of Łodź Freight services across all line operated by PKP CARGO Brand new rolling stock STADLER FLIRT 3 [ED160] Both versions of train- ŁKA and ED160 are designated for speed of 160kmph. PESA DART [ED161] Designed in 2014, Dart is first polish high speed, long-distance electric multiple unit. Interior is suitable for the needs of passengers with reduced mobility. It features folded steps, broad aisles and a designated space for wheelchairs and bicycles. Train have first and second class and special restaurant space. Operating speed 160kmph NEWAG IMPULS [45WE] The Impuls family of trains are low-floor, electric multiple units equipped with a full interior monitoring system, air-conditioning, passenger information system and ticket machines. Their interior is suitable for the needs of passengers with reduced mobility. It features sloping floors, folded steps, broad aisles and a designated space for wheelchairs and bicycles. In the vehicle, motor bogies are used as well as Jacobs bogies. Operating speed 160kmph BOMBARDIER TRAXX [EU43] Baureihe 186- modular electric locomotive. Operated by PKP Cargo [EU43] and Koleje Mazowieckie [EU47 push-pull set] PESA ELF [EN76] [photo contains several models of elf] The Elf ( electric low floor) is an electric multiple unit,developed by Polish rolling-stock manufacturer Pesa S.A. It is intended for commuter and regional service where platform height is 550mm. It is based on earlier EMU designs named ED59 and ED74 A Pesa Elf was exhibited at InnoTrans 2010.The unit is equipped for 3 kV DC power supply and has a top speed of 160 kmph, although this could subsequently be increased to 190 kmph.
