Sometimes when I try leaving a station my train doesn't move, I try resetting everything and it still doesn't move. Please can you add a system that tells you why your train isn't moving.

So you're asking them to create "Arcade mode"?

I do remember them discussing something like this in the past, think it wasn't something they were going to do.

Work through why your brakes aren't releasing, can't take power etc.
Handbrake on? Rear cab is not shut down correctly? All part of driving trains.

Is there a troubleshooting guide for this?
There is just too much to remember.

I can give you some general advice

First, always check whether the brakes are applied or you are not getting power.

You can use the HUD, you want the B.C. (Brake Cylinder) needle to be at 0.0, if the value is higher the brakes are applied.

If the brakes remained applied after you tried to release them the causes usually are:
    • In some locos you might have to keep the lever in the "release" position for a few seconds before the brakes actually release
    • Wrong cab set up (particularly in american locos)
    • Lack of knowdlege/experience on some braking systems
If the problem is not the brakes but you are not getting power than the reasons usually are:
    • In german rolling stock, traction cut-out might be active. You might need to put the throttle to "Off" and then try to accelerate again. Traction cut-out might be caused by a brake application while the throttle was not in the "Off" position so you need to reset it
    • At the start of a journey, for electric trains check if the pantograph is UP and the MCB is CLOSED, the button/levers for these commands are usually near each other
    • At the start of the journey, for diesel trains check if all the switches related to the engine and traction motors are ON.
