As the sun sets on Train Sim World 2 I wanted to share something that I thought the game did really well. That’s the sensation of speed. Line speed feels like line speed. Whether it’s 45 mph on the Bakerloo Line or almost 150 in an ICE-3, both feel fast. When I play sim games I like to immerse myself into what I think that job might feel like. A real train driver wouldn’t be able to drive the 72 stock and an ICE-3 in the same day, so the real day to day experience is all relative. I’d imagine full line speed will always FEEL fast based on that driver’s experience. TSW2 does a really good job and portraying this across all the varied routes and trains. It makes every route fun in it’s own unique way. So cheers to you all at DTG. I’ve been a huge fan of TSW2 since it’s launch and I’m excited for what the future brings.
It's nor surprising that a train simulator captures the sense of speed. That's a bare minimum feature that any Train Simulator game would make you feel like your traveling at a certain speed. Just like a racing game. And of course every route is gonna feel different. You would expect a german route and a American freight route for example to feel completely different. That's a bare minimum expectation. They have done this in TSC and tsw 2020 as well
