What is that on-off relationship which DTG has with LZB? Some have it and some not? I know TSW1 and TSW2 is something else but I was hoping for the preservation update for MSB to get LZB for the 146 and 185. Do we have any infos about anything LZB-related?
To the best of my knowledge, the real-life Main-Spessart line does not and has never had LZB. It is not universally installed on DB routes, only on those which see a fair amount of high-speed (IC/ICE) traffic.
I know that LZB isn't on the Track, I meant the functionality for the locos which come with it, that they have the systems to work with LZB if usedon such track like SKA or HMA
I'm pretty sure it was said the the 146 and 185 will get LZB with this update. When MSB was released, there was not the tech for LZB. But now with the update they'll have it. Same thing was with the 182 from RT which now has LZB.
To be honest, the two ICE trains that came with LZB are somewhat fine, but the BR182 and BR112 are unplayable with LZB at the moment, and so is Rapid Transit. There are weird bugs where you get slowed down without a reason, the signs and sounds don't work properly, neither upcoming nor current speed limits are shown, etc.. If they were to implement it in any other train, it would be nice if they fix the LZB system first, and then implement it properly (both track-side and train-side). And once quality is fixed, there could be a discussion about quantity, i.e. adding it to other trains where it makes sense.
So you're saing it's senseless in other trains? I never had such a problem with the LZb. Not on SKa, nor HMA or even RT. Never had an issue
On RT I am not sure if it is the train or track, presumably the track, but both the BR182 and BR112 have a terrible implementation of LZB, not sure why it is so much worse than on the ICE(s).
