Xbox Sos Continuing After Completing A Service

After completing a nice from Edge Hill to Lime street at 05:40, I selected to continue in order to drive the service that I had just coupled up to. After uncoupling the rear loco the game didn't register that I had uncoupled the rear loco and so didn't move in to the load passengers instruction so I couldn't even set off from Lime street.
