Just started TSW3. I'm using headphones and when I look left or right in the cab, the audio all jumps to that side and it goes very quiet on the other side. Is this normal? It's not very realistic and spoils the immersion quite a bit. I've only tried the first training session so not sure if it happens throughout the rest of the game yet. My setup is PS4 > HDMI to TV > TV optical out to Soundblaster G6 > headphones.
Oh yes. That is something I noticed too. It is very irritating when using headphones. Even without headphones, this imbalance is noticeable.
Yes, and I don't like it. I think it has something to do with an attempt at making it seem like you are turning your head. If the engine was behind you (such as in a Class 66, Class 45, or most American freight locomotives in game). If you turned your head right, then this engine noise would be more prominent in your right ear. DTG appear to have tried to do this by increasing the right hand audio, but then made the mistake of decreasing left hand audio. Obviously, this would be flipped if you turned your head left. If you have headphones, and do not like this issue, then please do not move your head in an erratic manner. I tried it and it was quite fun for about 2 seconds.
