I have a question. In the Rapid Transit add-on, the Talent 2 has a completely different soundscape than the Talent 2 in the Dresden - Riesa or Dresden Chemnitz add-ons. Would it be possible to adjust the sounds by means of a patch? Because the sound from the Rapid Transit addon is really not good. It's the reason why I don't even drive this route. I'm aware that it can't be implemented immediately, but it would be nice if it could be patched. Best regards Roger
Rapid transit was made using a synthetic soundset and was one of the very first routes in tsw. The preservation team tried to port the new 442 sounds to rapid transit but it broke. So to get a brand new soundset, the unit has to basically be remade from scratch.
Rapid Transit was one of the earliest TSW DLC's and pretty much abandoned as regards further support or improvement. I believe Matt P is working on a fix to the separate Dosto issue in his own time. But the near silent traction and running sounds of the 1442, despite numerous complaints, looks here to stay.
They can’t even fully patch or fix DLC from within the last 12 months so just don’t hold out any hope. RT is what it is.
