I'm sure many will like this one...

    The route:
The South Coast Line (SCO) is a ~90km route south of Sydney that has many notable sections and route features. It's a predominantly commuter route, however is an intercity route just outside the Sydney region (Waterfall is the farthest station away from Central down south). There are two big yards that will be included, Wollongong Yard and Waterfall Yard, with Waterfall Yard being the larger one of the two.

Potential included rolling stock (and combos):
1st option (currently prototypical as of August 2025):
    - OSCar H set, which can be used for all passenger services, on the express services from Central to Kiama (starting at Helensburgh in game or Waterfall in peak times) and the local services to / from Waterfall and Port Kembla.
2nd option (has to be set with the October 2024 schedule change before the Tangara's were taken out of service on this line early / mid 2025):
    - OSCar H set, which can be used for all passenger services to and from Kiama and SOME services to and from Port Kembla.
    - Tangara T set, which is used on all the local services on the Port Kembla branch, and used on some extra peak hour services that originate at Central
3rd option (near future, hasn't happened yet):
    - Mariyung D set, which will operate all services (very similar to the first option).

What is my favourite option of included rolling stock?
The 2nd option is my personal favourite option as the recent 2024 schedule is busy, varied and fun. The use of two new trains with one being new (ish) - the OSCar, and an older train - the Tangara, will provide a very fun, varied rail scene, and most importantly, be extremely replayable.

Why do I recommend this route over others?
This route, unlike most Intercity routes and Sydney Trains routes, has two notable sections: A very slow mountainous / forested section from Waterfall to Thirroul and a fast (ish) section from Thirroul to Kiama and Port Kembla. It's almost a bit like Pfälzische Ludwigsbahn, one of my favourite routes.
I feel this route would fit better over routes that go through Central is that the rail scene can be filled up quite easily! There will be no feeling of the route being empty if there aren't any truly major stations along the route. However, this route is still decently busy, and very lively during peak periods, trust me.

    Other notes:
This route would be a great first route for Sydney Trains, as it's a scenic route, has the ocean and beach visible at certain locations, and the Tangara is probably one of the most well known trains around the world. It's iconic and I'm sure the community will go wild to see it featured in game. Because of all of this, and Sydney Trains really needs to be in game, I believe not only will this be a great route, but it will be a success for DTG.

I hope many of you agree with my suggestion and look forward to knowing your opinions!
