About The South Eastern Main Line is a major long-distance railway route in South East England, UK, one of the three main routes crossing the county of Kent, going via Sevenoaks, Tonbridge, Ashford and Folkestone to Dover. The other routes are the Chatham Main Line which runs along the north Kent coast to Ramsgate or Dover via Chatham and High Speed 1 which runs through the centre of Kent to the coast at Folkestone where it joins the Channel Tunnel. The line would be about 77.81 miles (125.22 km) Rollingstock New to game class 375/6 Class 375/7 class 375/8 class 376 class 377/5 class 466 class 707 Already in-game class 375/9 class 395 class 465 Class 66
Not another third rail route. It's way too similar to south Eastern high speed. As much as I enjoy sehs, another route the same would not appeal personally.
Its really not, the hustle and bustle of London - Sevenoaks, the beautiful scenary down to tonbridge, the 100mph to Ashford and the beautiful cliff view on the way to dover.
I would most certainly be happy to have a route like this in TSW4 if certain routes are two challenging. They have the train models created and I would love to see another major London terminal to feature in TSW4.
I'll take it. It'll give the 375 more runs rather than just the Rochester to Faversham (some stoplight at Teynham and Newington) services. It is SEHS' most underused train so would be nice for it to have something else to do.
I think it's a nice route, nothing that new but it'd certainly be somewhat entertaining... if done right. Since I'm not in or from the UK, it'll feel fairly new. It is important to remember that what you dislike, other people may like. It doesn't make it boring, people like different things. At the end of the day, we are all here because we're interested in Trains.
That sums up the Train sim world 4 forums. We should all respect each others ideas and opinions and have wonderful discussions in this community. Really well phrased
Like older trains such as the 101, some trains that are still around aren't exactly boring to drive like the HST (thats GWR and scotrail)
I guess so, I would say that boring to drive are trains that are very easy to drive (that'll possibly include the 185 )
I've got mixed feelings about this suggestion. It has the 395 which I do like driving so I'm a fan of that part. Generally though, I prefer overhead routes - not third rail as I find the acceleration a little slow. That said, I do like the idea of running down to Dover. I think I could be sold on this if there was some kind of merge option - i.e. you reach ashford international on SEHS and then the next section to dover priory loads up - or you click a prompt to load to the next bit with the same config etc.
Glossop and MML say hello. Despite any issues they may have, they are still proper modern day northern routes.
Sorry I mean something with Northern the company Glossop is just a filler In all fairness barely anything has changed bar the timetable
We definitely need to see Northern in the game more, could fill in a lot of northern England routes that way.
Excellent idea overall and speaking of class 466 that must run with a Class 465 at all times for RVAR 2010 purposes. This is seen 3 years ago with Blackpool to Ormskirk via Preston Class 142 Pacer coupled to a Cornish Main Line Class 150/2 in Wales
the route would be better if set in the early 2000s because that would be a bigger of a variety of rolling stock. dtg could make a “old reliable” loco pack that could have the class 423 class 365 and class 507
If its set in modern day we will literally have all the trains bar 1 (376). Ik we dont actually have a 707, 466 or the other 375 variants but those are minor changes to current models. DTG are lazy they will go with the easiest option
The route set in 2000s or before or just after with slam door or a mix of slammers and 375s both have the possibility of 466 and 465. Going from the previous release one new loco/multiple unit seams the way for tsw and 1 or 2 reused. It will hopefully stop so class 66, br 185, br 146, br 363 can make way for others locos
