The line from Glasgow Queen Street to Crianlarich is 59 miles long and on the northern section of the route, very few services travel along it. Of course, people will no doubt wonder why I haven't included Oban and Mallaig as part of this route, with the simple reason being that would mean the route would be 205 miles long, most likely making it unplayable on console. Also included with this route would be the short 3/4 mile branch from Maryhill to Anniesland, the 1 1/4 line to Helensburgh Central, the 3 3/4 miles to Balloch, the 3 mile line to Milngavie and the 2 mile line to Yoker C.S, bringing the total route miles up to 69 miles. Proposed Rolling Stock Class 156 in ScotRail livery Operates services along the West Highland line in addition to the Anniesland to Queen Street services alongside the Class 158. Has an acceleration of around 1.5 mph/s and a top speed of 75mph. Class 320 in ScotRail livery Operates services from Dalmuir through the low level lines as well as services from Balloch. Has an acceleration of 1.2 mph/s with a top speed of 90mph (320/3) and 100mph (320/4, Ex 321's). Class 334 in ScotRail livery Operates services out of Helensburgh Central and Milngavie. Has an acceleration of 1.4 mph/s and a top speed of 90mph. Possible DLC's Caledonian Sleeper: Class 73/9 + Mk5 Coaches Operates the Caledonian Sleeper services between Edinburgh and Fort William. Top speed of 90mph Class 318 in ScotRail livery Operates services with Class 320's. Has an acceleration of 1.3mph/s and top speed of 90mph.
Voted yes but for classic diesel era, early 80’s when 27s were slowly being replaced by 37s. It would even have potential as a steam era route.
