I've come on here to suggest part of the Maesteg Line (Maesteg-Cheltenham Spa). The part of this line I am talking about today though the Cardiff Central-Cheltenham section. This part of the line is around 70 ish miles and takes about and hour and 10 minutes to complete. Stations on this line include- Cardiff Central Newport Severn Tunnel Junction Caldicot Chepstow Lydney Gloucester Cheltenham Spa Operators include- TFW (all the way) Cross Country (all the way) GWR (Cardiff-Severn Tunnel Junction) Now I believe that the rolling stock of this route should be- Class 150 TFW, Class 197 TFW, Class 166 GWR and possibly the GWR HST (although the 197 and HST never actually ran together). And if Dovetail could secure a licence for Cross Country we could possibly see the likes of a Voyager as well. Landmarks along the way are- The Severn Tunnel (I think you can see its entrance at STJ) The Seven Bridge The harbour at Lydney you run along the River Severn for a bit and a lot more! This route would work as well because of the upcoming Cardiff city network route they could reuse the 150 from that. They could also reuse the 166 and HST from GWE. Let me know what you think of this and let me know if I've got anything wrong!
