With a length of just under 90 miles, the line from Bristol to Swansea has been done previously in Train Sim Classic. This route would be set in the late 1990s, with Valenta HST's still dominant over Great Western services and 56s, 37s, 150s & 158s all regular performers in the area. Also included would be the freight lines to Newport Docks & Cardiff Tidal.

    Proposed Rolling Stock
    • Class 43 in Great Western (Merlin) and Virgin Cross Country liveries[IMG][IMG]
This livery ran on HSTs from 1996 to 2000, where it was replaced by the FGW 'LOVE Packet' livery. Western HST sets ran in a 2+8 configuration, with the XC sets being 2+7. The Merlin sets would also provide AI at Bristol Temple Meads for services to & from Paddington as well as plenty of ECS moves to & from Landore, Canton & St Phillip's Marsh.
    • Class 56 in Transrail livery[IMG]
These locos were prevalent on many freight routes in Wales around this time, including coal flows to & from Cwmbargoed and Aberthaw amongst other places. The locos had a top speed of 80mph, though the coal workings with HAA's and similar wagons often saw them limited to 60mph
    • Class 150 in Regional Railways livery[IMG]
These units would provide most of the services on the Valley Lines, though these would only be AI at Cardiff Central. Top speed of 75mph.
    • Class 158 in Regional Railways livery[IMG]
These units come in 2 or 3 car varieties, though most of the 3 car units were up north around this time. Top speed of 90mph.

Such an awesome suggestion, to have a Welsh route and even better, a backdated Welsh route as well :)

The rolling stock and livery choice is great and it means more variety in services and operators

Excellent idea overall speaking of the ruling stock some of them are going to be reused from other routes the following are HAA Hopper from TVL Cornish Main Line Penzance to Plymouth via St Austell Class 150 Midland Main Line Class 158. New builds Paxman Valenta HST Class 56 BREL keep in mind you are going to need to switch livery for 001-030 due to them being made in Communist Romania

Romanian 56's wore the same liveries as their UK counterparts.
