Eyeing the above to round out my Chinese collection. Route looks appealing as apparently 570km long but has some mixed reviews on Steam. The DF11 looks like a mighty diesel beast but hardly any reviews, just one which goes on about the description listing scenarios as career but they are actually standard. There’s also no You Tube reviews of the DF11 other than the original Just Trains promo video, which typically blots out the train sounds with the usual stupid pseudo dramatic music track.

So can anyone who has the DF11 in particular confirm if these are worth buying, albeit most likely in the next sale?

Don't have the DF11. And all the chinese stuff is very boring imho, and a bit of low effort with much of the scenery repeating itself permanently. Their japanese routes are much more interesting in that respect (except for Tokyo commuter, which lost me after doing two runs. Like Glasgow subway - one run and you've seen everything and played all there is to it.)

Thanks Pete, probably give those a miss.

Agree about the other Chinese routes they don't look as if they put in as much effort as the Japanese routes. And Tokyo frame rate takes a dive once you get on the approach to Ueno station, though I do like the very busy scenarios.

You can test them and refund, but for me personally they have zero replay value. Maglev was instantly refunded. Nothing to do there.

The South West China route is by Simtech Vision published by Just Trains. While I haven't run many scenarios, I think it's good and worth it for the sale price I got it for, the very nature of high speed can be boring but it's no worse than a 15mph US route with 'pass' in its name. Some minor issues like floating buildings and I would like to see some more detail around built-up areas. Performance wise I have no issues on multiple PCs of varying levels.

The DF11 I'd probably give it a miss or wait for a deep discount it's pretty basic about the same level as old DTG locos although everything works as it should. It has an announcement when I switch from external view to cab view every time no idea what is said my Chinese is pretty rusty, possibly 'Monitoring Operation'. It doesn't appear to have any safety systems I blew a red signal, and nothing happened. On a cold start one has to enter an independent train number into the screen but it's actually a word MOGGROUP! Which I presume is short for Monologue Group who made the loco. My biggest gripe is the sounds, sounds nothing like a diesel low speed, high speed either in cab view or external view and some odd sound on acceleration. For me sounds can make or break a loco and I have no idea what the prototype sounds like but this DF11 is broken. The coaches are ok, I had to locoswap three scenarios as the CRH1A points to the wrong provider folder. The manual gave me a chuckle with statements like 'we specially provide you with instructions and plans in a delicate way'.

Thanks Higgsy I will give it a miss and remove it from my wishlist.

    Money to be spent elsewhere.

Thanks for correcting me on my UW/SimtechVision mistake.
