Why are we not seeing South-eastern Cannon street to cannon street or Dartford to Charing Cross and Victoria Via Lewisham and Eltham??? (yes I changed this post) Anyways, SEHS already has stuff like class 465's and the electrostar used for SEHS can be used for this map, I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure DTG has permissions to do this. I already know there is a NKL map for TSC But that is TSC, it is old and outdated. I really have seen a lack of maps being made in TSW games, TSC had a lot of them. TSW should see a south-eastern map having lines from Cannon street to cannon street (or Eltham, since Woolwich arsenal promises the train to terminate at Eltham.) Anyways, hope to see a NKL like map come to TSW4, I think it would be cool and also something nice to drive in since the stops are not too far from each other. 1 Big reason why this would be nice is because the only line i know that is nearly or fully completed is the High speed line. I hope this map will be released in the future: Here are the stations Cannon street, London Bridge, Deptford, Greenwich, Maze Hill, Westcombe park, Charlton, Woolwich Dockyard, Woolwich Arsenal, Plumstead, Abbey Wood, Belvedere, Erith, Slade green (usual alight spot and route switch) Barnehurst, Bexleyheath, Welling, Falconwood, Eltham, Kidbrooke, Blackheath, St Johns, New cross, London Bridge, and London Cannon street. ----------------- Whilst the line to victoria would be Dartfird, Barnehurst, Bexleyheath, Welling, Falconwood, Eltham, Kidbrooke, Blackheath, Lewisham, Nunhead, Peckham Rye, Denmark Hill and London victoria
Well but on the other hand: Left Rhine is part this suggestion Semmeringbahn was suggested here or here Berninabahn I could continue for hours, but it doesn't make a lot of sense
Most pointless thread of the year award goes to... Anyway, how do we know if they actually read these suggestions? They may do for all we know, or they may not. They certainly won't tell us if they are, because all they get then is questions as to when this or that is coming. Not to mention anger from Forum User A when their suggestion wasn't chosen. Suggestions are exactly what they say on the tin. They're not routes coming to TSW, they're routes suggested for TSW. If DTG don't listen to these suggestions, they won't listen to this one either, so it seems you are also with this, are you not?
Class465 is right and at the same time wrong, the suggestions are actually just to suggest routes and not a list of routes to get added, but at the same time I have seen alot of routes suggested by many members but we havent actually heard anything about them
No your not. If you actually did your research you'd see that most routes/trains currently in tsw have been suggested at least once in the past.
Good evening everyone, I just wanted to add to this discussion and refer back to our April Roadmap last year where we discussed our LAMP process, which is the process we continue to use today on how we go about selecting routes to develop, and it directly relates to how suggestions and community appeal tie into our decision making. Keep in mind, that this isn't necessarily the process that third parties undergo when selecting routes, this only applies to first-party developments from Dovetail Games. I'd recommend having a read to see how suggestions and other factors contribute to route creation: April 2023 Roadmap It's under the "Inside Development – How we pick our routes" section. As a brief TL;DR: L - Licensing (Can we get the needed licenses to authentically create the route?) A - Anticipation (How players perceive the route and content) - This section massively pulls from your suggestions! M - Mix (How much gameplay variety can we include to keep players engaged) - Can also pull from community feedback P - Prominence (Global commercial appeal of the route and key landmarks) As I write that out, the above is a very brief overview, and the roadmap (linked above) goes into the details much more, and also talks about the steps we take after the LAMP process. Today, we've got a more refined LAMP process which has a few more added steps to this, so perhaps it's time we bring it back to a roadmap to discuss again - Let us know if you'd like to see this explained in updated terms! Have a good night! DTG Alex
I am aware about the roadmap, im sorry if I have already said this but the C2C has been recommended for 4-5 years now, when will the developers listen and do something alot of the community has wanted since 2019 or 2020? sure, the route is long and it might be hard but im pretty sure if you developers had listened the map would have been out by the time TSW3 stopped getting major updates to it, could have even been out during the release of TSW3
Don't think they're able to get the license. Same for Greater Anglia, numerous suggestions for it, but again, licensing is an issue. It's not as simple as listening to the suggestions, there's a lot more to it than that.
I understand your point but at the end of the day it’s all down to licensing and accessibility. There are certain trains and routes I’m definitely annoyed haven’t been added yet from operators already in game but for others there’s nothing DTG can do. If c2c deny them access to their trains the only other options are abandon that project and find something similar or try and make it in a different time period (which according to DTG don’t make for the most popular routes). If nothing can get past the licensing stage then we just have to accept it and move on.
The only problem is the line is a Southern route wich dtg have forgotten about. It's been 2 years since the last Southern based route was done (South Eastern High speed Extended). During the stream Matt can out with no one wants Southern routes in the game posting in yhe forms have a suggestion in the Southern Region provides that wrong and a comment from the live stream even say yes matt we do want Southern routes. I haven't looked forward for any British routes for ages because I've gotten bored of just northern routes and current day routes now, don't think I'm the only one.
