Hi guys today I’m thinking of making a suggestion for a Southeastern Extension in TSW 3. The lines that I will be covering in this suggestion are the Woolwich, Bexleyheath and Sidcup lines to Charing Cross, Cannon Street and Possibly Victoria as trains go to Victoria via Bexleyheath aswell. The trains that will be in this suggestion are the Class 465/0, 465/1, 466, 707 and 376. Let’s start with the 465/0 and /1. The British Rail Class 465 Networker is a class of 147 electric multiple units built by Metro-Cammell, British Rail Engineering Limited (BREL) and ABB Rail between 1991 and 1994. Originally operated by Network South East,[6] these units are now run by Southeastern. The maximum speed of these units are 75mph (121 Km/h). These trains have BREL Motors. These Motors are different to the Metro Cam Motors that are used in the /9 units. The poles are different on these units. On the /9 units the poles have an orange color. But on the /1 and /0 units the poles have a Blue color. Each carriage on the /0 and 1 units are 20.89m long. These trains have different formation of 4 cars, 8 cars and 10 cars. But 466s can also be connected to it. If there is a 8 car 465/0 and 1 a 466 could connect to it and make 10 cars long. This is the exterior of the /0 and /1 units. The /0 and /1 units look the same as eachother. The /9 has a ventilation shaft on the roof at the front of the train but these /0 and /1 units don’t have the shaft. This is the passenger interior of the /0 and /1 units. The Poles are different and has a different floor pattern different to the /9 units. This is the driver cab of the /0 and /1 units. The side of the cab has a different shape to the /9 units. The power handle has a different shape and the foward handle has a very different look. The 466s have the same interior as the /0 and /1 but the 466 cab has the same cab interior as the 166. The 466 units have the same Metro Cam Motors as the /9 units. Now let’s move onto the Class 376. The British Rail Class 376 Electrostar is a class of electric multiple unit passenger train manufactured by Bombardier Transportation at its Derby Litchurch Lane Works. It is part of the Electrostar family, which are the most common EMUs introduced since the privatisation of British Rail. These trains are 5 car units. When these are doing passenger services it always connects 2 five car units to make 10 cars long. The maximum speed of this train is 75mph (121 Km/h) which is the same speed as the class 465 and 466s. This is the exterior of the Class 376. The head lights are the same as the other electrostar units. But these units were built without the Exterior Gangway which would appear on the other electrostar units. This train features the previous Southeastern Livery with yellow doors and gray lines under the windows. Each carriage is 19.95m long. These were built in the 2000s to replace the Class 465s and 466s but they never got replaced. But this unit did replace 2 trains and they were the class 423 units and the class 421 units. This is the interior of the train. It has a different seating pattern that is not used on all of the other southeastern units. This is the only southeastern unit to have yellow poles inside the train. The seats on this train are abit Uncomfortable. The flooring pattern is White and Blue at the same time aswell. When you get in this train irl it kinda gives the overground look.
This is the cab of the Class 376. It looks like the other electrostar units but it have more room as the gangway is gone. The seating pattern is very different to the Normal units.
The British Rail Class 707 Desiro City is an electric multiple unit passenger train. Siemens Mobility built 30 five-carriage sets. Initially leased by South West Trains, its franchise successor South Western Railway began phasing them out of their network. The British Rail Class 707 Desiro City is an electric multiple unit passenger train. Siemens Mobility built 30 five-carriage sets. Initially leased by South West Trains, its franchise successor South Western Railway began phasing them out of their network. This is the exterior of the Class 707. These units were on SWR but they started putting them out of service so Southeastern decided to buy them from SWR to make more quicker journeys on the Southeastern Network. These units only operate within the Metro zones of the southeastern network. Which means these units never stopped on the Mainline parts of the southeastern network. The max speed of this unit is 100mph (160.93 Km/h). Currently the fastest Southeastern Train on the Metro section. These trains are 5 car units but are connected with 2 units. Each carriage is 20.52m long. Here is the interior of the Train. They kept the orange poles from SWR but changed the seats from SWR to SE. These trains also have LED information boards. These are the only southeastern trains to have walkthrough carriages. Here is the interior of the driver cab. As you can see this unit displays a LED screen that shows the speed of the train which is more smart than the older units. The AWS sunflower symbol is also displayed on the screen aswell. Now we will move onto the routes. The 1st route will be from Gravesend to Charing Cross Via Sidcup. The stations on the service are Gravesend, Northfleet, Swanscombe, Greenhithe, Stone Crossing, Dartford, Crayford, Bexley, Albany Park, Sidcup, New Eltham, Mottingham, Lee, Hither Green, London Bridge, London Waterloo East and Charing Cross. This route uses the 707, 465 and possibly 466. This route could use the 376 aswell. I will post about the next route tomorrow. Can no one please reply to this until the whole thing is finished.
I agree with the main "North Kent Lines" suggestion, probably with the 376 (707 will be reskinned by those CC people from the 700 no doubt) Leave the line to Victoria This would still mean the three termini, three main NKL lines, service patterns including all stoppers, regionals and they could extend out to Rainham and onto the CML if they can figure out how to join routes Not sure why you're saying there should be more than one route. The DLC length limit would allow for all three NKL to be in one DLC IF we don't go ambitious (well more ambitious) and add in the Victoria route (those trains could run in game as far as Lewisham before running AI off the map) Only issue is that we've had a LOT of southern and southeastern third rail stuff, so maybe this should be left for a while and returned to later
I personally would like Southeastern Highspeed to go to London Victoria as theres no DC terminus on that route other than Overhead Wires.
Maybe I'm reading your response wrong... The termini on the North Kent Lines are Charing Cross and Cannon Street, both 3rd rail with no OHLE Thameslink goes up to Blackfriars and Farringdon on OHLE but those aren't termini for NKL trains, with trains from Orpington stopping at Blackfriars (still on 3rd rail) There is no OHLE in Kent other than on HS1 and then only to Ebbsfleet and Ashford for locals trains So I disagree with "no DC terminus", there would be two
I love the stock that can be included! Ofcourse the amazing Class 465, one of the first electrostars the 376 and the nail new 707! For me this would be a release day buy!
I meant about there just being 1 London being: London St Pancras In the game right now. Theres no London terminus for the 375s and 465s
If they made the NKL they would have to make a London Terminus for it, and Victoria isn't anywhere near the NKL The Chatham Mainline goes to Victoria from Rochester via Meopham and Bromley South, or you can come off the NKL at Lewisham and go over to the CML via Peckham, but neither of those routes are the North Kent Lines.
Why do they need to make a new one? A new route that does to the same one maybe, but there's already the assets and signalling built for the area so surely doing it again would be a waste of time? And Southeastern to Victoria (Chatham Mainline) would have a whole heap of new routes and trains coming onto the route so should be a standalone route unless they work out route merging, rather than route extension
I know you're not talking about London to Brighton, I was just pointing out that we technically do already have a London terminal in the game for 375's and 465's and as ARuscoe has already pointed out why would dtg need to build a new Victoria model, surely they could just use the one that we already have.
Yeah put it would be nice to drive into london victoria using southeastern other than gatwick express and southern
