Hi all. Driving class 66 on Hoo runaround after changing ends on the return journey, you go through a tunnel and hit a 15mph speed limit. Shortly after you go down an indicated hill of 0.8% increasing to 1.2%. It appears you have to apply huge amounts of power to get DOWN the hill! I have tried this several times and it is the same. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks.
As you have changed ends, it is likely the game thinks your loco is travelling backwards (each loco has a number 1 and number 2 cab). This can be confirmed by looking at the arrow on the loco on the map (it will point at your wagons rather than where you are going). This means the gradient will be a 1.2% uphill gradient instead.
No worries - it still catches me out sometimes. It is something that's something for them to look at, but when it may be fixed who knows
Can you confirm the tail lamp is in front of the train as well? I believe it's part of the same issue
The tail lamp is just a visual thing, it has no impact on any of the other performance etc of the train. Matt.
Sorry, I meant they had the same cause, (the game doesn't recognize you change direction), I didn't mean it was the cause of the problem or had any other effects on the train I apologize for being too vague
