Hello everybody, My suggestion is Southeastern High Speed as a stand alone game. SEHS has always been much loved by the community and players since its initial launch back in TSW2. It continuously is placed as one of the most if not the most played route of the year. There are many factors I believe are behind it: 1) Diverse range of trains On SEHS there is no shortage of trains to pick. From the 375 doing mainline duties, the 395 doing High Speed runs and the 465 doing metro runs alongside all different kinds of freight and rail tours. 2) Feels like a Network with lots of destinations to run to and being able to go back and fourth with 1FXXs to Faversham al day. 3) Regular updates and treatment. This route feels like Dovetail are really passionate about this route. From the extensive timetable by James and the scenery updates etc. My suggestion is to create SouthEastern High Speed as a stand alone game that runs alongside TSW (similar to CSX being the stand alone route at the start of TSW). SouthEastern High Speed could receive multiple updates including new features and bug fixes. This would allow for: - Guard Mode implementation for the 375s, 395s and 465s for when they are working mainline runs. - Live Map update titles for AI trains. - Junction Indications - similarly what is on the approach to Barking riverside is also on the approach to Ebbsfleet international coming from Gravesend, however the SEHS doesn’t work. - OFF indicators, recently OFF indicators have also been implemented in to newer routes and would be good to be included in SEHS at stations like Rochester. - Working Lifts - Collectible Maps to have really Southeastern map rather than the in game one. - And anything else that comes in the future like lighting improvements or features. This could also include bugs fixes for SEHS such as: - No 4car stop at Sittingbourne towards Faversham - 375 PIS still being too large - missing AWS ramps in Strood tunnels. - the 12 coach stop for 375s in the wrong place - the game deducting points when slowing using TVM. - Collectables number on UI being Wrong. Possible Expansions/ DLCS - Class 376 for empty coaching stock or if route is extended towards London - Class 707 if route is extended towards London - More variations of the 375 - Extension from Ashford international to Dover Priory via westenhanger or Ramsgate via Canterbury West - Extension from Faversham to Dover Priory or Ramsgate - Extension from Ashford International to Tonbridge - Extension from Ashford International to Eastbourne (possibly linking up ECW) - Extension from Dartford towards London. Let me know what you think of this Suggestion.
Not sure if it should be released as a separate game, but the improvements you have listed would definitely be welcome
That’s the one. The 395 stop marking for the 12 is correct but the 375 isn’t which is a little bizzare
I've found that all 12 car services (375 and 395) stop in the wrong place there, unless 395s stop at the 8 car maker in reality. I even sent them a video showing the issue but they never did anything about it, and I doubt they ever will. It's not the only example either. It also occurs at Gravesend heading west, Greenhithe and Northfleet heading east, and Gillingham platform 3 for ECS moves to Gillingham depot.
I really like this suggestion! I think if it were to be a whole new game, you might as well do the whole of Southeastern.
All of these fixes/upgrades could be done via updates. There's absolutely no reason at all for SEHS to be split from the main game.
Why on earth would DTG split a single route into its own game? Sounds absurd. Imagine if MSFS sold the US as a standalone flight sim. Maybe the only way I can see this be economically viable is if DTG built up the entirety of the southeast and made it a giant map with hundreds of miles of track and dozens of rolling stock variety, then optimise the entire route so that it doesn't have to compete for resources, then package everything up and bill it as a Southeastern Experience or words along those lines.
