Hey guys, Today I will be suggesting the SE Mainline. SE MAINLINE: This route will run from London Charing Cross / Cannon St down to Sevenoaks consisting of all stations as followed : Charing Cross / Cannon St Waterloo East London Bridge New Cross St Johns Lewisham Hither Green Grove Park Elmstead Woods Chislehurst Petts Wood Orpington Chelsfield Knockholt Dunton Green Sevenoaks This route has a lot of potential due to the variety of route for the player. Fast services down to Sevenoaks take on average 35 minutes. The Sevenoaks stopping service takes approximately 1 hour. Orpington stopping services take about 35 minutes. This route could include new stock such as the 466, 707 and 377 as well as existing 375 and 465 stock. AI 700’s could be seen from this route leaving Sevenoaks for the Medway Valley line and also Orpington during peak. I know this is very vague but you guys get the idea. Perhaps even we could get an extension down to Ashford to connect with the SEHS route though this would make every playable service quite lengthy which doesn’t appeal to some players. Hey we could even have the Darent Valley line calling at all stations to Bromley South which would make some sense if they ever extended SEHS (doubt it) to Victoria so we could play with the 700’s for that stretch. I know this is a lot but it’s a few ideas that could work but would take a hell of a lot of time. Feel free to add further!
Excellent suggestion. This is one of my favourite routes, but only to Sevenoaks would only give about 30ish minutes for the fast services. On the Darent Valley Line, most of the services that run all the way to Ashford run from Victoria. The services from Charing Cross only run to Maidstone East. Personally I think it'd be better for the route to go to Tunbridge Wells instead since you'd be able to drive the Hastings services as far as here as well as the Ramsgate/Dover services as far as Tonbridge. The route ideally should also include the Hayes branch and the Bromley North branch since then you'd have 4 end-to-end SE suburban services, these being Cannon St. to Orpington, Charing X to Hayes, Charing X to Sevenoaks and Grove Park to Bromley North. There'd also be the Tunbridge Wells terminators which means you'd be able to run the 465 over the entire route.
What about this route plus down to Tunbridge Wells and including the stretch of line down to Hastings? It gives players more options, different lengths of gameplay from between Charing Cross to Sevenoaks, or Charing Cross to Tunbridge Wells, Cannon Street to Orpington and Charing Cross to Hastings. It would potentially be a huge route and maybe a timetabling minefield, but I think variety would be beneficial.
In an ideal world you'd have the full line but I've noticed routes don't ever exceed 30 stations. Which is a shame because it limits DTG by quite a lot. In terms of timetable it'd definitely doable, we've seen busier timetables on the likes of BML. My main concern would be blurry textures & memory optimisation on console, but ideally a fix for that should be out in the near future.
Set it back in 1978 with a Hastings DEMU and 4 CEP/BEP plus EPB’s on the suburban services and I’d buy that Day One.
A route I travel on frequently, as well as the Bexley line. I’ve said this for a long time, give us more 465, 375 and Thameslink 700 in the game. It’s shocking we only have SEHS to drive the 465. Keep it modern too or set in a similar time period to SEHS. It would sell like hot cakes. There is a reason SEHS took the crown for the most played routes in TSW.
[In terms of timetable it'd definitely doable, we'v [QUOT See this would make sense if they could go down to Tunbridge Wells for the Hastings services and the TBW services themselves during the peak. Possibly also Ramsgate/ Dover services down to Ashford Intl to connect with SEHS. Would be great if you could map hop.
Definitely, i loved playing SEHS but you don’t get to play with the 465 for long at all in most of the routes.
Yeah i suggested going down to TBW in another reply would give the 465 its full stretch on this route which is great. I also agree with the Hayes branch would love to play this too.
Yeah iv added the additions i’d like to see in the replies, possibly go down to TBW and AFK for the other services would add about 30-40 minutes if we went down to Ashford.
