Route: Southend Victoria - London Liverpool Street Southend Victoria - London Liverpool Street includes the stops: Southend Victoria, Prittlewell, Southend Airport, Rochford, Hockley, Rayleigh, Wickford, Billericay, Shenfield, Stratford and London Liverpool Street. Why would this route be a good one? I think this route would be a good route to add because it is 1 hour and 43 minutes long so it takes a decent amount to get from point A to point B. The trains that run on it are: Class 720 and the licensing is Greater Anglia. The 321's used to run on it and as you can see from my pfp I clearly love the 321 very much lol. This route would be based on in the year 2020 where the 720's came into service slowly replacing the fleet of class 321's. This route will be nice because 1: This route goes to Stratford and the Mildmay Line which is in the game terminates there were, on that route, loads of AI trains wether it's reskinned 710's, DLR train added from Transport Fever 2 [I think I'm right] or wether its a bakerloo line train. Stratford will feel as busy as it does in real life and it'll be nice to drive past. 2: This route offers glimpses of the Essex Countryside which I think is a lovley view and will be enjoyable driving past. 3: There will be loads of traffic at London Liverpool Street so there will be: Loads of reds, the player will have to pay attention to the signals etc. 4: The class 720 is a new train with: Touch screens etc. 5 The route includes Southend Airport which will have planes taking off which will mean lots of passengers will have suitcases at that station. 6: Mostly the platforms at London Liverpool Street that the trains will terminate at are sorrunded with 321's and/or 720's so you won't really need to add any more routes to work up to Southend Victoria - London Liverpool Street. I know. this is probably not a good explanation because this is my first time on this site. I've been a player though since Train Simulator Classic. You could include pictures - of the trains, major stations, points of interest. Or not. Doesn't really matter. An Anglian route has been suggested more times than I've had hot dinners.
Where are you getting that from? It's an hour from Southend Vic to Liverpool Street, I've done that journey IRL enough to know!
The journey time is between 58 and 62 minutes end-to-end which I think it makes the route very viable for TSW. My only issues with having this Great Eastern Line rather than the mainline to Ipswich is that there's no freight workings apart from short 20 minute ones between Shenfield and Stratford, there are no inter-city services that use the entire route (which would be Class 86,90 or 745 depending on when the route is set) and there's no 100mph sections unlike north of Chelmsford on the mainline. There was something invigorating doing 100mph in a Class 321 with all the windows open and the loud bang of the doors when a train passed in the opposite direction. Once in a while it would trip the interlock, triggering an emergency stop which would be a good game-play feature. Another consideration for me is that the other route to Southend, C2C, has a far more interesting service pattern (3 ways of getting to the other end of the route) and is a far more interesting route both from a scenery perspective (the QE2 bridge, good view of London towers blocks, glimpses of Tower Bridge and the Tower of London. Upminster windmill, Hadleigh Castle and running along the seawall at Leigh) and also from a freight services perspective with the big freightliner terminal near Stanford-le-hope and various other sidings from which all manner of freight operates. You could also have the outdoor section of the District Line to Bromley-by-Bow. Whereas the Southend Victoria line is a little too linear, they could include the Southminster branch of course but that's a fairly slow, infrequent service. Adding Crossrail services between Shenfield and Stratford would be good though.
