    About
This section of the Sunset Route runs ~79.7 miles (128 km) between Houston and Beaumont, set in the Southern Pacific era of 1965.

The route features several yards and extensive local industry, along with a handful of passenger trains. The main focus is freight operations, primarily using Southern Pacific and its subsidiary St. Louis Southwestern Railway (SSW / Cotton Belt).

AI-only operators could appear near Houston, using SP or SSW locomotives repainted in alternate liveries. Recommended AI operators include Missouri Pacific (MoPac), Santa Fe (ATSF), Katy (MKT), and Kansas City Southern (KCS), though their appearances would be relatively rare.

Purchased on the first day, but DTG forgot about American freight transport.
