Ok picture the scene, having loads of fun running a freight service which involves a few exchanges, I stupidly make an assumption as to my next port of call when SPAD!! kicked out & have to start over. What would be nice is to have the option for the sim to go Oooo naughty naughty you made a mistake but hey, sit back & have another go at this reset point!
I've done this a few times when I get complacent with clear signals, it would be a great feature I agree.
Unfortunately I don't think this is a good idea you couldn't do this in the real world so why have it in a game what is trying to produce this real world function Yes it is a pain having to reset but it's part of the fun and learning of a route
Well, there are lots of things we routinely do in-game which couldn't be done in the real world. Do you leave the cab to manually couple and uncouple and to throw switches, or do you use the free camera and the map? Do you ride, holding on for dear life on the outside of the locomotive? Fortunately, the save and resume function works very well for me. I use it about every 10 - 15 minutes, in case I make a mistake or I can't finish a service in one session. In the real world, a driver would not get a mulligan if he/she missed a red or overshot a station stop. But I do.
Ooo didn't know! Ok DTG, Please switch this on for consoles! It's a game, one that I use to chill out and have fun, just frustrating when you loose 30/40 mins work for a silly mistake.
I’d also want multiple save slots in the game if I want to run something else but to save my progress. But please, switch everything on for console that’s on for PC, at least everything that can be switched on (external zoom would be another big one).
I have never been allowed to continue after a SPAD in the PC version. I have always had to go back to the previous save.
