    Hi All!

I bought the TS 2020 just yesterday, in the steam German Edition pack, and I tried to pass some easy missions after the basic tutorials. It've made me a bit confused: for the sake of simplicity I used the uniform F4 UI where the game shows the speed limits, the signals and the platforms, at least in theory. But i've unexpectedly ran into some invisible speed limits: those were not marked anywhere, neither the map thingy on the UI nor the number-tables near the rails. After a -1800 pts run, I realized, that I used a scenario from the Inselbahn DLC, not the vanilla game.

I wonder if there are some physically unmarked speed limits in place there, which I could see on the loco's LCD displays - there is a mysterious PZB system i haven't used, i checked the manual, but it only said that it's something complicated - or these are just bugs in the DLC, and I supposed to memorize the real speed limits to pass a route with positive points value in the second or third run.

Unfortunately not all speed limits are reflected in the UI and sometimes this means hitting a very low speed limit when you think you can be going along quite nicely. All you can do in these instances is remember where those are and act accordingly.

Most of the time the signage on the line IS accurate, and it's the HUD which is incorrect, so do try to keep up with what the signs are saying and you should be OK

The HUD shows the usual line speed in the absence of any restrictions for whatever reason.

In German railways the signals can indicate a speed restriction unlike, for example, British lines where an amber signal tells you that the next signal may be against you and it's up to you to judge how fast you can go and still stop safely. Purno has a useful introduction to DB signalling in the guides and there are useful videos by PTG Rail on YouTube.

This is what you need to watch - it explains German Signalling in English

Note that a German Signal with a Green above a Yellow usually means go no faster than 40 mph From the Signal - not the Junction
