Anyone else like to have a speed up time option added?

Enjoy the freight run and not being priority but it does mean having my Xbox on for an hour not doing anything

Yes, something like an increase time function does need to be added to TSW (on pc the godmode can do this I think).
Or, they need to split the services to cut down on these long wait times (although in reality freight is often sat for a long time in loops etc).

TSC has the ability to increase the time by a factor of 5 so if there's a 30 minute wait, you can essentially fast forward until close to your departure time and then slow time back to normal.

I've thought of this countless times. I always assumed the response from DTG would be that it's not in TSW because it wasn't added at the beginning or that it would cause more problems than it's worth.

    And to that I say,
Okay, but what about allowing the player to specify the time instead of increasing/decreasing time?

i.e. the same basic time/date (and location) menu you use when you select a timetable service or free roam.

    1. Player selects a time (and maybe even date, location, and weather?) from within the pause menu.
    2. The game then reloads assets accordingly.
    3. If the player was in the middle of a service, the player is spawned in the same location in the same loco with the same parameters. If not, the player spawns on foot at the same coordinates the change was made from. Or maybe is even given the option to choose a location to spawn from before confirming choice? Boom, there's teleportation.

At the very least, this would allow the player to continue a service with a long intermission or move right onto another service (which happens to be hours away) without having to:

Exit to main menu ...wait for it to load
Go to trains ...wait for it to load
Select route ...wait for it to load
Select train ...wait for it to load
Select livery ...wait for it to load
Find the service, select the weather, launch ...wait for it to load

Also, slightly off topic but we need the ability to disable/force enable loading of CC liveries on certain routes or even on a per service basis.

The way the game was built doesn't allow for that.

To add such a drastic feature would require a rewrite from scratch.

Just as an update I was playing around with photo mode and moved the train forwards which then gave me the route! The objective marker was Doncaster at 09:51, I went for 32 miles at 30 mph!!! I only had about 15 minutes to wait, enjoyed the scenery at a steady pace and didn’t have to wait too long

Oh right- I knew you could do it in the scenario editor.

On PC you can use either the godmode mod or Unreal console unlocker and use `slomo` command to speed up (or slow down) the passage of time inside the simulation.

Definitely yes. And I hope that I’m disciplined enough to only use it when it’s a long wait, not at every red light lol
