OK, I have just completed all the route tasks on Oakville. It took hours upon hours of spawning into each location and walking around in the game! Though this was interesting to see and explore the line from ground level at a slower speed it was tedious at best. Thank God I had the Tasks Map to help me orientate and search. This whole experience was fun (like a scavenger hunt) but could be so very much more fun and efficient if a small item was added to the game ....

I am officially asking DTG for a Speeder (or speeders) to be developed and installed in game as a DLC for use on all modern North American rail routes for use in assisting doing the Route Tasks.

Not only is this practical for players, but it is also prototypical. Up until the mass use of Hi-Rail trucks, Speeders were prevalent on all major railways for crew use along the lines for inspections and various trackside tasks. They allowed travel along the line for foremen or small 2-4 man crews for the specific purpose of "route tasks". Having a speeder available to do the route tasks would enhance this aspect greatly as well as save a pile of time and make the whole route task aspect of the game a lot more desirable than it currently is. I am sure all players would welcome such an added extra.

Am I right, or am I right? :)

I have zero idea but they look funny and would be a nice free American version of the 66 for the training center

For route tasks, I usually create a custom scenario using "Off the rails" option, and drive an 185 solo. Great acceleration and braking, very high top speed. Perfect for the job.
