Maybe a bit of a newbie question. I started making my own scenarios about 6 months ago, using realtimetrains as a reference for timings and platforms. But I the whole process can take such a long time manually placing consists and making sure everything works. If you make scenarios is there anything you do that helps speed up the process?

Not really as every scenario is different with different AI.

You could clone a scenario but you would have all the same trains at the same places
Swapping the AI for different trains would be a variation but everything would take the same path.

You could for example save a scenario with static consist only. Fill up the yards and sidings and always use this one for starters, so you don't have to take care of that every time.

You could speedup scenario testing by using the EnableAsyncKeys launch option you can speedup up to five times with CTRL+1, CTRL+2, upto five. Review this video on how to do it

    Works only for standard scenario's.

It would be nice to have some sort of tabular or 2D means of creating scenarios without having to place everything in the 3D world. However the chances of this or any other editor improvements gaining traction would seem remote.
