There exists a partial fix for up to 30km/h. I would recommend using it until the locomotive gets patched officially. Cheers
In Germany, just like almost everywhere in Europe, km/h (kilometer per hour) is the standard unit for measuring speed, this means that DB uses km/h to measure speed on the german rail network, so a speedometer in mph is inaccurate for a german train, similarly to a km/h speedometer in the US or the UK.
I remember other people claiming it was inaccurate and showing a lower speed than the correct one, so it would make sense if it were to indicate the speed in mph. It's pretty easy to replicate, just look at the speedometer and the HUD and see if there are any inaccuracies. Given the fact a non official fix exists and multiple people reported the same problem, I am more inclined to think this problem actually exists. I will see for myself as soon as this DLC gets discounted on the xbox store. This for example https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/363-initial-bugs-report.30957/#post-203488 This is a screenshot I took from a youtube video, you can clearly see the speedometer showing ~11.5 km/h while the true speed is ~18 km/h
It´s not in mph. It´s just that the scale below 10 km/h is not well calibrated either on the HUD or on the speedometer itself. Most likely because speedometer uses a wider range. Above that limit it works well. Cheers
Thank for the thorough testing from your part, only going by what I could find online I too got to the conclusion it was in MPH, but I'm obviously incorrect.
Thanks to you for rising the topic. I was not even aware of that issue. That´s why I did the test only. I just sent a ticket with those results. Let´s see if it helps Cheers
