I'd say steam store. I prefer looking at the game page and it's dlc. or wishlist those you want and go to wishlist and sort that on discount or price. not sure how the game store works with steam. so for a steam sale use steam
I spent almost £50, I wanted a few more but will have to wait I'm on an old age pension so perhaps next month. Col.
To be honest not a huge amount of temptation. So far bought one route for TSC. No discount on Berninabahn (put that back on the shelf until the summer). Tempted by Edinburgh to Glasgow as if I get Fife Circle need the 385's for AI and by all accounts there is a mod for the sound now.
DTG, wake up! Please, sell TSW 2 and TSW 3 with supreme discount during spring sales, peoples want to buy these versions. I know it's hard to sell TSW 2020 again, it would be great if that happened, I also know people who would like this version. Yours sincerely.
Wouldnt make sense for them to do that. If you REALLY need a copy, you can usually buy an old key somewhere.
TSW 2 and TSW 3 have been on sale on Steam for a while now, but they are not discounted in the spring sales, I don't know why. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1282590/Train_Sim_World_2/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/1944790/Train_Sim_World_3/ TSW 2020, I know it's difficult to go back to selling.
Train Sim World 3 was £5.99 on Steam a few weeks ago.... I know because i bought it. Train Sim World 2 was £4.94 between February 13th - 17th. Steam has game sales EVERY Monday for the last 15+ years. It literally takes you 2 minutes to check the store once a week.
One route I would say is worth the full price. TBH all my money is going to TSC this time. Bought Edinburgh to Glasgow but refunded after half an hour. Driving that 385 is just awful and even the sound mod can’t redeem the ghastly experience.
Picked up Niddertalbahn (I know I should have already owned it!) as well as the BR Class 20 and Class 52. I'll be having fun this weekend unless my wife has anything to say about it!
I know this, but people are not always able to buy at that moment, for example, this account is missing TSW 3. TSW 2 was purchased with 67% of discount on sale between February 13th and 19th, 2024 and TSW 4 was purchased with 70% of discount on sale between February 8th and 12th, 2024. I will not pay the amount that is now in TSW 3, just at a discount. TSW 3 had a 80% of discount on sale between January 15th and 22nd, 2024. Some accounts ran out of it because I didn't have time to make the purchase at that time. I sell computers and some people ask for some games. Checked, the base game TSW 2 and TSW 3 are still out of spring sales, as well as the Long Island Rail Road and LIRR M3 EMU are also out of sales, these sales managers must have the screws loose.
well TSW2 and 3 nowadays are essentially route bundles to TSW4, so if they ain’t selling usual dlc on the extreme cheap then theirs no reason for them to be either tbh, the way TSW is it doesn’t make much sense for older iterations to be sold cheap, unless it contains no routes, in fairness they should be sold around a 3 route price or slightly less for the sake of the bundle.
You know nothing, very innocent, I bought several TSW 2 and TSW 3 super cheap with discounts and they can still be migrated to the TSW 4 if the customer wants in the future. Many ask for the TSW 2 because of the interaction between the menu and the locomotive in the menu with its sound, they even say that the TSW 3 and TSW 4 are rubbish in that sense when I demonstrate them.
ignoring the first part yes exactly as I said.. people’s thoughts on TSW4 though isn’t any factor on sales which is what this was about.
If you go and look at the Steam Spring Sale right now, you will observe the following: TSW2 routes on sale: Schnellfahrstrecke Köln-Aachen - £9.99 Sand Patch Grade - £9.99 Bakerloo Line - £9.99 Total - £29.97 So there is no way in hell that DTG are going to sell TSW2 at their usual £4.94 discount during major Steam sales for obvious reasons. Train Sim World 3 was actually DELISTED for 2 weeks during the DTG Festival of Rail Steam sale, because they weren't going to sell TSW3 for £5.99 when the individual routes were around £10 each... Then it magically came back at its regular £29.99 the day after the event ended. At the end of the day DTG are a business, and like any other business, they are hell bent on squeezing the customer for every last penny, even during sales where they pretend to be the customers best friend. The reason that the latest version of Train Sim World goes on sale (in this case TSW4), is because new players will rush to buy extra routes soon after the initial purchase. So DTG can afford to take a loss on the base game, knowing that they'll make-up for it on DLC sales.
[EDIT - Jan - Inappropriate] In fact, the TSW 2 Steam version has a problem with Mastery, it takes a long time to load. This version of TSW 2 EGS loads instantly. One more reason why no one should buy this game outside of the promotion on Steam. [EDIT - Jan - Inappropriate]
You do realize that by posting all this, that you are openly admitting to game piracy, obtaining game content fraudulently, and breaking the Valve, Epic and DTG terms of service and user agreements you signed when opening those accounts, don't you? Not the wisest thing to shout about on the game developers own forum, and if Valve, Epic or DTG ever check your accounts you can probably kiss them all good bye.
Taking advantage of system failures is not piracy. [EDIT - Jan - Inappropriate] The funniest thing is that there are people pirating and pretending to be saints, stop pretending to be the right people in the universe.
I've just checked the TSW socials, you've missed it, for Xbox users the sale ran from March 5th to 12th
Whats the cheapest way to pick up tsw 4 at the moment with a couple of English routes? Been holding off for months now but I do like the look of fife circle, I've seen there's some bundles on steam so I guess its just a case of picking which one is best.
Get it on sale that's ending tomorrow where a bunch of English routes are on sale or buy the bundles or key resellers
Looking at the sale I am a bit disappointed with the offer on the higher discounts, but I would still want to pick something up. So far I have a shortlist, I think sorted from most expensive to cheapest. - Midland Mainline - would need the Cargo Pack probably is well - Hamburg Lubeck - mainly for the 182 and the content it adds to older/newer routes - NY Trenton - 80% discount worth it? on TSW3 there is a bundle which gives a good offer also for the Acela - 182 Dispolok - i do not own any 182 and this seems the most up to date variant, but misses out on Voralberg layering I am impartial, but definitely play the US content the least. Which one would you take, I seem to own everything that has better discounts already.
Steam always has sales so if you want cheaper, check back at a later time. Midland mainline is probably the best choice. You don't require cargo line. Maybe if you want more freight services. The base trains already give you lots to do by default
Next Steam sale probably around June time towards the solstice. So if you can find them in a local supermarket, stock up on Steam Wallet gift cards in readiness.
