i have download QGIS 3.40 and when i try to download srtm from srtm downloader it dosen't seem to download anything it just says downloading complete.
In the Layers, one can see that the tool (at least attempted to) download the SRTM tiles. The upper layer "N50W119_N51W118" is a merge of both SRTM tiles N50W119 and N51W118 which should be stored under the "srtm_images" group on a successful download. However, there is something wrong with it as it indicates the warning sign symbol on the right side of the layer name. Maybe its assigend the wrong EPSG code or something happened. Anyway, Look in your output directory "C:/Users/HP 910-409/Documents/SRTM Files", whether the files N50W119 and N51W118 are downloaded. If yes, you can try to delete the merged layer and the srtm_images group and reimport these images into QGIS or directly in the Editor. If not, do the download process another time.
so i fixed it and now it downloads the srtm files. all i had to do was start a new project when i start up the program.
