The approximately 50-kilometer route from St. Gallen in Switzerland via Bregenz in Austria to Linau-Reutin and Lindau-Hafen in Germany. Eurocity drives to Munich and Zurich every 2 hours. Regional trains and S-Bahn trains complete the route. The ÖBB S1 and S3 run from Lindau-Hafen via Bregenz to St. Margrethen in Switzerland. The S2 and S4 from the SBB from St.Gallen to St. Margrethen or to Bregenz-Hafen. The route is characterized by the diverse landscape. In Rorschach you can see Lake Constance from the Swiss side for the first time. Passing the St.Gallen-Altenrhein airfield back inland to St. Margarethen. After St. Margarethen it goes across the country border from Switzerland to Austria / Voralberg to Bregenz. After Bregenz you have a beautiful view of Lake Constance, which accompanies you to Lindau. After Lochau you are in Germany. A lively traffic of the three course operators the SBB/Switzerland, ÖBB/Austria and DB/Germany is aligned. A few more pictures that should show the impression of the route of the three countries Switzerland, Austria and Germany. St. Gallen Rorschach St. Margrethen Bregenz Lindau-Reutin Lindau - Hafen
Looks good! What rolling stock would you suggest for this route? Keep in mind what we have and that DTG normally give us 1-2 new trains per route
Ah, this reminds me of the good old Three Country Corner Route for TSC. I loved that DLC. Would buy it again if it was remade for TSW.
NEW: Bombardier Talent 4024 in ÖBB - Livery an SBB Re 460 with doublestock car. The Re 460 can then also be equipped with the IC cars Present: SBB RABe 523
Re 460 <3 If it was made, it could also be used for shortening time for the development of the EL 18 for possible Norwegian routes in the future.
You forgot ÖBB Baureihe 4758 Talent 3 S1 S3 S-Bahn Voarlberg. Euro city to München Hbf is Rabe 503 Pendolino ÖBB 1116 1016 Lindau Bregenz or Railjet St Margethen Bregenz Feldkirch. Bregenz has a Nightjet terminal meaning it affects Main Spessart Bahn with the Nightjet becoming the 02:01 or 01:51 Asschaffenburg to Würzburg trip via Lohr where we end the trip. Followed by München Augsburg and Köln Aachen.
The Rabe 503 has only been running since the 2021/22 timetable change. it is not a EuroCity EC but a EuroCityExpress ECE
Thanks for telling me about that but the first Rabe 503 ECE to München Hbf was in December 2020. Seen in this video That means 9th gen PC owners get Rabe 503 services from München Pasing to München Hbf on München Augsburg line.
