Hi, currently having an issue with the St Pancras route,
I'm using TSW5 on Xbox SX
Route/Timetable - 1L24 for some reason named St Pancras to St Pancras (another issue? Should be to Ashford intl)
    Class 395

So the route and train load in, at the start you are required to uncouple the train, so i change cabs to the intermediate cab, i uncouple and set back. I then change ends to pull the train forward to the stopping point to load/unload passengers. However once i've set my desk up in the cab i can no longer move forward (infact the whole train stops working, i can no longer go to the intermediate cab and regain power from there)

So i decided to try and work around this by uncoupling from the other train, then going to my cab and pulling the train forward, however when i do this and the direction selector is in forward - I can take power, however the train will just move in the wrong direction, so it reverses (I thought i would try the direction selector in reverse however this just moves the train in reverse too.

I've tried messing around with the physic reset in the menu - This does not change anything

I've tried dropping the pan and raising it again etc,

i've tried to reverse the train to the stopping point and then changing ends - the above still happens where once i've changed cabs the train just breaks.

I have uninstalled TSW4 so unable to try it on there if it's an issue with TSW5, but hopefully someone can confirm if they are having this issue on TSW5 too, i'm pretty sure it isn't something i'm doing wrong because of the varied results i have when i try different things to work around the issue.

Hopefully this post doesn't go unread and this issue can be sorted as at the moment this train service broken.

I don't have any issue with the train services that do not require me to uncouple first either so it isn't the train that's broken as such seems to be the uncoupling in the service that is breaking it.

    Many thanks
    ROFL.

I've found a work around, i'm unsure if this is how the game just wants you to uncouple or if it's an unintended work around, simple fix is to just go to the back cab, press uncouple, don't sit down don't key in etc then go back to the front and all should be ok.

Simple question i suppose is, did you remember to key off in the middle cab used for the uncoupling?

Yes I did, which is why I think it maybe a bug. I've found a workaround for now so it's not game breaking at least for the time being.

I just tested 1L24, and could move the train just fine. Admittedly, I had to select CTRL and Pan Up Shoes Down again so that the correct pantograph could be raised, but after that I could move just fine.

As for the service name, it is correct. That service will start and terminate at St. Pancras, because the Southeastern network is basically a glorified loop around Kent. The PIS will say it only goes to Margate or something so as not to confuse passengers.

I did try the same once I uncoupled I tried selecting the pan up and ctrl I tried dropping the pan too and starting fresh but that never resolved it either. It doesn't seem like a bug that would be intermittent for some people and not for others, so when I get on today I'll have a bit more of a play around.

Edit: Also thanks for explaining about the route, I put the question mark as I was unsure not knowing the route other then hopping on a train in TSW and just going. Makes perfect sense now.

Anyway like I say I'll have a bit more of messing about once I jump on this evening. Thanks again.

Hey, just got home. Tried it out and it's obviously been something i've done wrong as i've sat and messed around and i've finally got it to work. Thank you very much for taking your time to test it, really appreciate it.

Note for mods, this post can be closed to save confusion due to user incompetence from myself.

I wouldn't be so hard on yourself. It can happen to any of us. Just look at this thread!

This is because it does a circular route. It goes to Ashford first, eventually ending up at Faversham where it will end at St Pancras.
