I would like the Supertram Network in Sheffield to be included in the game with its 4 routes which are the Blue route Malin Bridge - Halfway Park and ride Yellow route meadowhall Interchange - Middlewood Park and ride Purple route Cathedral - Herdings Park Tram train Cathedral - Rotherham Parkgate With all the announcements and accurate area with the Siemens duelwag trams being used for blue yellow and purple with trams 101-125 included and the class 399 tram train with units 201-207 that can be used on all lines and have some train equipment like Aws DSD ect! I would absolutely love this and I know it’s not trains but you could make a tram game and I would LOVE this route. The Sheffield Super Tram network consists of 4 Lines, (Blue, Purple, Yellow and Tram Train). The Blue Line will consist of 32 Stations and can use the British Rail Class 399 and the Siemens -Duewag Trams. This route will run between (Malin Bridge - Halfway). The Yellow Line will consist of 25 Stations and can use the British Rail Class 399 and the Siemens - Duewag Trams. This route will run between (Middlewood - Meadowhall Interchange). The Purple Line will consist of 14 Stations and can use the British Rail Class 399 and the Siemens - Duewag Trams. This route will run between (Cathedral - Herdings Park). The Tram Train Line will consist of 14 Stations and can use the British Rail Class 399 only. This route will run between (Cathedral - Rotherham Parkgate). This route would be perfect for Train Sim World 2 as it has only 37 Miles of track throughout the whole network. The route runs straight through the City Centre of Sheffield on the streets with amazing detail to be added to the route. The tram announcements on the route would make it 10x better and bring more realism to the game. Rolling Stock: Siemens - Duewag Tram
Just saying... This is Train sim world Not Tram Sim world. Because of that it's unlikely to get made.
Absolutely nothing wrong with suggesting tram lines for TSW. TSC has a couple and I built a version of Blackpool in both that and earlier for MSTS. Many modern tramway systems such as Sheffield are Manchester are more akin to light rail anyway. The biggest factord preventing these from coming to TSW are how you manage line of sight running on the unsignalled parts of the route and the interface with road and pedestrian traffic on street sections. But on the face of it, trams would be ideal for TSW. Self contained network, relatively simple track layout, no freight to worry about and superb potential for the all day timetable.
Very much so agreed. Look at the TFL trams in Croydon - they basically run next to the national rail lines for most of their journey.
Not completely out of the question, again, TSC has some tram lines and Arosa has a street running section
