I interested in ECML, Kinzigtalbahn and FlixTrain Vectron. Should I buy standard and Vectron separately or deluxe? I can afford deluxe version btw
Deluxe also gives you 5 days Advanced Access, and you can also use all your other content in that timeframe, unlike last time, where you could only use the content that came with Deluxe/Special Edition.
Get Deluxe. Buying standard + Vectron is almost the same price as getting Deluxe. The Deluxe edition will give you everything new, plus 5 days early access. Standard (10% discount) + vectron = 40,49€ + 15.99€ = 56,48€ Deluxe (10% discount) = 67,49€ For around 11€ difference I would not have any doubt. PS: Do nothing today. Wait until the Kinzigtalbahn preview stream Sept 11th and make the decision after you watch it or read the comments on the forums. I'm expecting Kinzigtalbahn will be the best route in the TSW5 pack, but you never know ...
It will work to be cheaper if you bought the deluxe version rather than the standard version and bought the other locos individually.
I had a similar question. I was interested in the new lines and new trains, especially the Class 390, I settled on buying the Deluxe. You can read the related topic.
As I’ve said previously, the pricing is very crafty. They are almost funnelling people towards the Deluxe pack, by simple merit of not including the 390 or Flixtrain in their respective route packages.
Deluxe is probably the best value. You get the routes and trains you want plus a free route basically.
But many of us we have already the ‘free’ route… I will go for the Standard, then when I am done with the DB BR 114 and the ICE T, I will go for the FLIXTRAIN vectron, which hopefully I may get with some discount. PS5 player here.
Uk route 29.99 Us route 29.99 German route is it? 29.99. 390 14.99 and the chick flick train 14.99. So that 119.95 worth for 59.99 I think for deluxe. Cajon pass is a bit of a bummer yeah. But like any company these days, new customers get all the benefits, while existing customers.. Well you know how it is.
From my perspective, as an American, there's little incentive to buy the deluxe version. Like most of us, I already have CJP, have enough German content already and have no real interest in the 390, yet another overpowered one handle toy train. I'm still on the fence about the San Bernardino route. I just don't see a lot of replayability there with single track running. And it's such a turn- off when stream presenters choose to ignore floating cars and other obvious issues, showing disdain towards players. So, I'll probably just update my current routes and wait for something more engaging to come along.
Yes, first you anchor the price with the standard edition (45€ for three routes is a steal, as opposed to 3*36€). Then you take the flagships (the Class 390 and the Vectron) out of the package and sell them separately, raising the "value" by redistributing content around. This gives you a 75€ package from what used to be 108€, but with the two separate trains, you raise the perceived value by 32€. So in comparison, 75€ still looks like a much lower price compared to 140€ for everything sold separately, but it's just some package manipulation to create a better value proposition. The Cajon Pass as extra free bonus is just a deal sweetener since most people willing to get the Deluxe edition already have CJP, plus it can be used to showcase the new route hopping feature. And you get a layer for the San Bernardino line as an extra incentive.
Four routes if you don't have the US freight route. And after my free preview it's a decent one.(Thanks Steam) Plus the Vectron and Avanti vt390. Really classy rolling stock. 5 days early access. If that's good for you. Layers the US freight onto the San Bernardino.Plus in-game route hopping; basically you can jump to connected route without dropping to menu.Useful. Thing is you need the Suffragette route if you don't have it.Goblin is great by the way. If you want to operate the 710 from the Goblin line, you'll need to own Suffragette. You get the free bit of the underground included with WCML. without need to buy the Bakerloo. It is a bit but free is always good. Deluxe is best value for current players. Cajon pass was free a while ago,so veteran tsw railies already have it,or purchased it.Only minus.
Personally I would go deluxe and get the five day early access as a bonus as some one pointed out you get access to your back catalogue of routes also but belive it's only for steam users and not on console
Deluxe is only the best value for current players if you fulfill at least 2 of the following requirements: - Do not have already Cajon Pass - Want Avanti Pendolino - Want FLIXTRAIN - Cares about the early access If like in my case you only are interested in one train, then 30€ extra that you must pay for the deluxe, are not justified.
