What ? Then it says it is for Frankfurt to Koblenz ? What have our two map portals for Darmstadt to do with this ? They are on my route extension to Karlsruhe via Mannheim. Darmstadt is not on our Rhein Main S-Bahn 3 or 6 when i last looked ... I already own their PRO 143 ! Is this More Pro ? And it was for Köln to Düsseldorf. Enough said right there.
The BR 143 is the Virtual Railroads version 2 which is different to the original one dating from 2012 This one has more features https://store.steampowered.com/app/2955980/Train_Simulator_DB_BR143_v2/ And Steam's announcement is just rubbish Darmstadt is not on the current TSC network and the Scenarios are for a different route
As usual, it'll be better to get the VR BR143 from Virtual Railroads directly. I'm not sure of what's different from the standalone version but I expect some features have been removed from the Steam version.
there are numerous versions of the BR 143 in the game, so I´ll try and clear things up a little. There is the kuju one from way back. This was also included in routes like Köln-Düsseldorf. Köblitzer Bergland also has it with some repaints for the loco. A couple of years later Virtual Railroads made an "Expert" version of the BR 143. The Version 2.0 was released 2022. It´s a refresh from the old expert version. Two main differences beeing the textures looking much nicer and making BR 143 compatible with most of vR Cabcars. If you buy the 2022 version from the vR store, it will be compatible with Wittenberger Steuerwagen, Karslruher Steuerwagen and different double decker cabcars. The German community was complaining for a long time that many locos are not compatible with most cabcars. This led vR to doing a refresh for BR 143, 112 and 111. The cab cars are all sold seperatly also.... and most of them work with each other now. Besides that you can find a couple of massive repaint packs for the locos and cabcars on Railsim. But I´ll say it´s only worth getting in to, if your a massive fan of German content.
The Kuju one isn't by Kuju, and it was never released for Rail Simulator. Like most of the German locomotives in the European Loco and Asset Pack, it was actually made by German Railroads. As far as I know, German Railroads and VR are related but I don't know to what extent.
As said above this is the Second Version of the BR 143, the article talking about the Darmstadt is about the area rather than the city, hope that helps
Why does the info about this Train refer to Darmstadt? There is no line in TSC that goes anywhere near Darmstadt Is it that nobody wished to admit to a simple mistake?
I agree... this implies to players that the Darmstadt area is in TS (or might be coming to TS). If you are talking about Frankfurt-Koblenz and the scenarios, please just make that clear in the discription.
It’s nice that a new loc is coming to TS. However i find the advertising to be misleading PARTICULARLY in the context of hopes from tsc players versus radio silence from dtg on the future of it.
You can buy it in the vR store since 2022. All releases since Pegnitztalbahn have been stuff from third party coming to Steam. There is nothing "new".
