So I installed tsw6,uninstalled all the tsw5 dlcs and then tsw5 but every time I start the game via a tsw6 shortcut it asks me to reinstall tsw5 again, interestingly if i start it from steam it doesn't do this and starts the game fine. Am I doing something wrong here or is a bug?
No its the tsw6 shortcut but every time I click it its asking me to reinstall tsw5, i reinstalled 5 and it did indeed start tsw5 instead of 6 lol. Just done a complete reinstall and its still doing the same, its the shortcut at common/Train Sim World 6/windowsnoeditor.
Any ideas please? Even adding the exe to nvidia profile it shows up as tsw5 so its as if i havent got the correct exe file. I did install it on my e drive while tsw5 was on my d drive but not sure if that would make any difference?
Yep I have that as well,it will start TSW6 if I create a steam shortcut but if I use a shortcut to F:\Steam\steamapps\common\Train Sim World 6\WindowsNoEditor.Exe it wants to install TSW5.
Its weird because if the shortcut to windowsnoeditor.exe was wrong it shouldn't start from steam but it does but if you remove the exe steam throws up an error and wont start the game so i haven't got a clue what's going on.
