Service Branch Freight: Clock Face Colliery - Speke Junction 07:30 ish anyone tried this service yet, it’s in Journey mode in the rain and I can’t seem to get the 8F moving either I get no movement or wheel slip, tried sander and a few other things so far but no luck Edit: seems like when I release the wagons the loco pulls straight away but not when it’s attached to the wagons pulling 33
Hey Train Sim 9723 We have a quite a few useful tips which might help, in the official Spirit of Steam support article here: https://dovetailgames.freshdesk.com...es/80001018133-spirit-of-steam-gameplay-guide Having check this particular service, it appears the problem may be related to a known issue which is listed on the Spirit Of Steam - What You Need To Know Megathread There are two formations in service mode which have mineral wagons against the locomotive, and bauxite after, which means their brakes won’t come off and the train won’t move. As a workaround, you can remove the brakes manually by pulling each wagon’s cord until a fix is implemented
That's great to hear, sorry for the inconvenience! I've added images to my original post to demonstrate exactly where the brake release cord is for anyone else who comes across this thread.
Would like to add I noticed Matt in stream said to hold the vacuum release for 10 seconds I didn’t, only pulled it fully then let go for each and my train was able to move after, so I’m not sure if that’s supposed to do that
If you just pull and let go, you have probably let *most* of the air out, I based my 10 seconds on looking at the internal values and figured it took a good 5-6 seconds to fully empty, so I went with "if you go for 10, you know for sure they're fully released". If what you're doing is working for you though, go for it
Anyone suggest best way of NOT relinquishing control of train while doing this? I’ve tried 5 times now to release thes brakes and because you have to hold down A whilst releasing the effing “do you want to relinquish control of the train” message comes up during this process and because you have your finger on A the train moves off!
They should have fixed that ‘defaulting to yes’ pop-up a long time ago. It has long boggled my mind as to why they designed it that way in the first place and how they haven’t addressed it yet. Maybe it doesn’t affect PC as much as console and therefore doesn’t matter to the devs as much as anything that affects the hallowed PC players. If it requires clicking with a mouse on PC then the issue won’t ever come up in the office or for any beta testers, so the magnitude of the issue won’t be ever be realised by DTG, and we can safely assume it will never be fixed.
