    Hi,
I got this game as it has some nice steam locomotives - however being a stickler for realism I set firing to manual and tried to control the engine myself... but it doesn't appear to work as it should.

As a test I did a whole route without ever opening the fire door to add coal, I left the water injector on the whole time and still the boiler continued to increase in pressure as if by magic..

Can someone confirm if manual firing is actually working? or is it a bug?

There currently is no manual firing, water level is fixed. Fire only adds a bit of pressure when coaling. Maybe we will see this in an update oneday or in the next iteration of steam loco DLC.

Unfortunately, even after the recent update, SoS still feels a mess.

All "manual firing" does at the moment is give you control of the blower and dampers. Proper control over the fire and injectors is supposedly being developed, but who knows if it will ever see the light of day.

Matt said after sos released in tsw2 that modeling injectors in simugraph is extremely complicated and it's being worked on. But it's probably not been worked on all the time since there are other things going on. So will have to keep on waiting
