Unlike tsw2 diesel and electric locos the biggest disaster you might face with them is derailment. But steam locomotives carry there own risk and beyond any derailment one of almost any steam train crews biggest fears is a boiler explosion, from not monitoring the engine water supply properly while driving. So do you think dtg will have this as part of there steam train realistic operations?I'm guessing not, when dtg said something to the effect that steam is a entirely different experience when driving they just didn't mean the funside. It's simply risk vs reward.
I suppose it depends a lot on whether we are expected to play fireman as well as driver. This is going to be a huge decision by DTG. Some people will want the complete experience but others will want it to be realistic, which would mean an AI fireman as a driver wouldn’t perform these duties in real life. I doubt whether any AI fireman would allow the boiler to explode.
