Yeah, just saw that after I made the post
Feel like playing 10 Hours of Jeopardy theme song haha
Rush Hour season pass in Ps store have message: playable only on PS5.
I can't find PS4 version of season pass.
I can buy this also for my PS4?
i know the most recent posts are on the ps4 version, but I just wanted to pipe in and say the ps5 version plays quite well. I deleted my ps4 version from my ps5, and only using the ps5 version now. Really loving how well the game plays on it now.
You should’ve had access to the launch discount if you're a PS+ member.
And another discount for being a plus member. £29.69 at the moment
DTG - So my PS4 version on my PS5 updated and I'm downloading the PS5 version. But going into the PS4 version which I planned to keep to.maintain progress, all but 2 of my preserved collection and new TSW2 routes are not there. The preserved collection routes say they are installed and free but I can't see them in game or redownload and all the new TSW2 routes I'd purchased are saying I need to pay for them. Clearly this unacceptable, its just a game update I haven't even started on the PS5 version yet, how can it be so wrong?
mostly update went well. looks really good on the ps5. just 1 extra isue other than gwe reported by others, it says there is anInternet problem and will not let you log into DTG to do mastery challenges etc.Is anyone else having this problem? Yet ive downloaded all the updates so my network connection is fine.
You are not alone, they said to do with Sony and are sorting it
This is from JD
Don't panic! This is all explained here.
We're hoping this will be a matter of hours. When we get the green light from Sony's EU team, we'll update that thread.
How do I get my route and my trains back
Massive issues I have , my dlcs won't show up on ps4 version , and great western won't download on my ps5 version, how is it that my ps4 mastery progress can transfer over to ps5 version but nothing else can ?
Just an addition from my side:
There is no problem if you bought the Digital CE.
In the PS Store there is one PS5 Upgrade.
You can download the additional CE-DLCs (East Costway, Peninsula and HRR) for free then.
I have to update but I cannot get my roots and my train back help me please
There is no upgrade option on ps5. I've put My tsw collector edition disc in. It's updated the 1.42. But no option to upgrade to ps5 version. Ps5 version has a lock on it
I wonder if the guys at Sony will get this sorted before they clock off for the day? PS4 players are currently without their game.
This isn't a Sony issue. DTG screwed up. Had they released the core patch on Tuesday, they would have identified the issue before the release of Boston-Providence
They might already identify but hide until things happen. Otherwise, in last stream, i cannot figure out why they ONLY introduced the core update improvements on Xbox and pc version without really mentioned PS version
But it needs to be sorted at the Sony end for it to work according to the latest info. The cause of the issue is of no concern right now, players just want it sorted so they have their game back. We can dissect it all at a later date.
I was under the impression that this is why the initial update was moved from Tuesday to Thursday, so the game wouldn't be down for two days before the updated routes were available. Am I mistaken?
That was the intent. But it's gone wrong, and had they released the patch on Tuesday like they planned, they would have had 2 days to sort it before Boston route released. This is a fail on DTG's end. (If it was just the one platform having issues, I'd blame the platform)
East coastway is updated. I see the light panel at the station.
But I can't find the return to the menu button. Where is it?
DTG incompetence hit new heights today. I'm speechless...
If you mean return to main menu in game it is press and hold L1
Now the ball has been kicked to Sony then how to explain why the update has been delayed for two days, blame them again?
Since the initial news broke about Rush Hour, we've gone from "We've learnt our lesson from TSW2, Everything will be a day one release" to "Everything, literally everything including DLC's you've purchased in the past will be delayed". I'm almost done with DTG to be honest. Just one mistake after another.
So what about those of us who are in the US and can't access Boston Sprinter AND any of our Preserved Content?
They could have labelled it better like the save and map buttons at the bottom I was looking for minutes before I quit the game
I think they have gone home for the day. Maybe preserved content for October with Brighton route... or Christmas...
So I’m curious since I haven’t seen it anywhere, but the PlayStation Store in the US doesn’t have the standard Rush Hour Season Ticket for PS4. It only shows available for PS5. Is this fix coming with the fix for the store to allow PS4 preserved routes to be compatible with the core update. I’m literally trying to give you more money after this complete screwup of a release but I can’t even do that.
I have given up on the PS4 for now and have unpacked and setup my new PS5 and 4K TV, gone through the irritating Samsung Account setup with plinky music playing all through it, logged in on the PS5, frantically found the option to turn the menu music off there, and am currently downloading the game on that. I was going to do all that tomorrow but as reports of the PS5 release going more smoothly than the PS4 update, I changed it up. Oh, and the lad next door has decided now is a good time to crank up his guitar amp, just to make my day perfect
EDIT - After downloading, I had to update the PS5 system software before it would install, then it wouldn’t install due to an error so it’s downloading again. It’s been quite the day and still no TSW2 for me yet. If this download goes well it should be ready to play by the end of the live stream tonight, and there’s no way I’m missing that stream even if it’s installed before.
it's almost 7pm here so i doubt we're getting this update for at least another day
Unfortunately, I agree
Tonight's stream should be interesting to say the least.
For what it's worth I've had a relatively smooth transition over to PS5 (apart from GWE not being available). It runs very smoothly and it's brilliant finally seeing PIS on East Coastway.
I really feel for the team at DTG. The criticism is justified but I think some members of the community are being a bit dramatic.
I guess that depends on what time zone the people at Sony are in that are fixing it, so don't give up hope just yet.
It sounds like a digital signage error which links your purchases to your PS account. I would have thought that would be easy to fix.
This has just appeared on the website so it seems like DTG think they've fixed it:
Yeah, let's hope it's actually fixed, instead of them just thinking they've done so.
Is there already a solution for transferring the game profile from PS4 to PS5? If not, do you know when or if it will be possible? It's a shame that I have to continue playing the PS4 version.
Come on stujoy, I can't wait for you to tell us about your experience, with your usual sharp sense of humour.
Most of my DLC are working now. Stop crying, try a little patience and tomorrow will be fine.
Ok, I seem to have a different problem, I have downloaded the updates, there were two showing, I have purchased the season ticket and downloaded rush hour. My problem is, I only seem to have the PS4 version, I think this because I have all of my DLC’s. My question is, how do I find out which version I have, and if it is the PS4 version, where is the PS5 version?
As a follow on, I have checked the PS app and it shows that I have purchased the TSW2 Deluxe edition which includes the Rush Hour season ticket!
I’m mainly curious about the entitlement for the routes on the Collector’s Edition. If I were to start playing the PS5 version of the game, will I still be able to download East Coastway, Peninsula Corridor, and Hauptstrecke Rhein-Ruhr once they’re available?
You should be able to. I upgraded early this morning and all my DLCs were marked as free under the PS5 version of the game on the PS5 game hub (the bit under the game on the XMB). These DLC's included ECW, HRR and PenCor.
Still nothing, when I click on a DLC in the PSN store, it gives the option "choose a version", it doesn't say free. I'm a PS4 player in Canada. One other thing, the article mentioned preserved DLCs, but what about newer ones such as Clinchfield and Southeastern?
Choose the option that doesn't have a price. I think it just says download
hope you have more luck than i have, followed all the procedures, still game crashes.
They need to see that most of us are not upgrading to the PS5. The members that are on PS4 has crash issues and they should at least acknowledge that problem instead of looking around it. I have uninstalled my game and redownload it and i still have the same message of a major update being needed and if i click the base routes on the screen i get the blue screen that many others have seen.
i wonder if they thought they had fixed it without even trying it on a ps4 for themselves.
So this latest "update" regarding add ons for PS4, shockingly.. Does not work for me, twice I've uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, No add ons, I've gone onto the PS Store and found the add ons that don't require payment just download.. I've installed them several times now at least and still no joy. Well done DTG. Well done.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Upon launching a route, the game still crashes. When are we gonna get a fix for this?
Edit: Routes now load. Uninstalled and Reinstalled. Didn't redownload any DLC's besides Boston Sprinter. Only able to play Boston Sprinter and the Base Routes.
Can you see all of your DLCs?
