Hello everyone, I have been experiencing a new issue where Stevens Pass never loads in. I've tried playing the route from Quick Drive and Career, from different locations and different locomotives but everytime the loading screen gets stuck and never moves on and I have to close the game. I have multiple 3rd party content that could be causing the issue, such as ReShade, RW Enhancer 2, the Armstrong Powerhouse Sky & Weather Enhancement Pack 2.0 and the Armstrong Powerhouse Cloud Enhancement Pack however I doubt these are causing the issue as all other routes work just fine with no problems. I have been able to play the route before, so this is a new issue that has popped up. I believe I first experienced the issue after the core update a few months ago so maybe a problem with that. I have submitted a ticket to Dovetail Support too so we'll see what comes of that. For now, does anyone have the same issue?
The issue with Stevens Pass, GN Cascadian, Montana Hi Line, Virtual-New Haven is BNSF signaling. The patches for these routes are located here:https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c1-train-sim-classic/c13-patches Follow the instructions carefully. DTG has left you to fix this yourself.
Thank you very much for the fix. I didn’t realise the Montana Hi-Line problem was also in effect on some other routes like Stevens Pass. Let’s hope DTG and G-Trax will be able to find the source of the problem and issue a fix. I would assume this isn’t going to be a problem they just forget about or give up on, as it literally makes a route unplayable because you can’t load into it. That’s definitely a bug they can’t leave alone!
At this point this is as good as it gets. There have been a few knowledgeable enthusiasts out there fixing these bugs created by the initial update. It seems that this is the way it will go for now. At least DTG has heard the screaming and has released a public Beta program that one can install over the current installation instead of forcing it on everyone's installation. Be wary of joining and take the highly suggested backup measures before you do this. Read all the information before you install the Beta.
